    Pros

    Good co workers
Management that wants to do a good job, but just don't seem to know how to get there
    Flexible hours if needed
    Good Benefits

    Cons

As stated above, senior management doesnt seem to follow a well thought out plan for (1) growing the company (2)growing and developing the employee

    Advice to Management

The company needs to look deep inside the ranks and identify the future stars. Develop new ideas, and take on more risk.

    Pros

The compensation is competitive but the friendly, family like feel of the office is the biggest benefit. The employees are taken care of and treated fairly.

    Cons

Some of the senior management doesn't have a grasp on the magnitude of certain tasks or the frivolousness of other tasks. There is a cycle of reorganization that detaches departments across the state which leads to slow sharing of information.

    Advice to Management

If one department is going to be centralized, provide staffing equal to staffing before the centralization.

  3. "Micro managed"

I have been working at American States Water full-time

    Pros

Pay scales are average, and benefits above average.

    Cons

Slow decision making, risk averse, top down command style executives

    Advice to Management

    Improve decision making process, delegate.
