I have been working at American Stock Transfer & Trust full-time

    Pros

I enjoy working with people in my group. They are very collegial and respectful of your work-life balance.

    Cons

Compensation could always be better, but the company has improved significantly over the last several years and there are no major complaints.

I have been working at American Stock Transfer & Trust full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you like to keep busy, this is the place for you. Work continues to pile on which makes the work day fly!
Unique company that provides different services and products that no other company offers.
AST always has internal workshops and training sessions to enhance employee skills.
We all work closely in teams with the common goal of getting things done on time and correctly.
    Opportunity to grow!

    Cons

If you drive, area is not so “parking” friendly.
Since AST merged/acquired with other companies, there's been inconsistency in processes and procedures. However, AST is fully aware and are still working to improve this matter.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate what you have before it’s gone.

I have been working at American Stock Transfer & Trust full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Close to transportation, the employees are very kind and welcoming. You work in teams and the members of the groups are very supportive

    Cons

Not a lot of room for growth. Constant competition to make more money for the parent company, employees are often passed over financially. Once a year a massive layoff of employees takes place

I have been working at American Stock Transfer & Trust full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have worked a little less than a year now at AST and must say that the company has taken immediate action on rising the overall bar for the company. The introduction of new management in several departments has been a positive result. Look forward to see this company reach its full potential.

    Cons

Although change is good based on your ability to embrace it, there are some aspects that still need to be revamped.

    Advice to Management

Suggestions: Cross Training in each department, it seems most roles don't have a back up and many supervisor complain about being understaffed. I think in cross training more efficiently we would have the ability to distribute workload more evenly.
