I worked at American Tower full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good for recent college grads as everything is manual and outdated software. Your able to take the experience and move to a better company

    Cons

Company is turning into a revolving door. They hire new talent who leaves within 1.5 yrs. Will not promote from within and constantly moving the positions to their corporate head quarters in Boston. Bonus were every quarter now once a year and retro a year. Raises 3% if your able to get it.

I worked at American Tower full-time

    Pros

    Great people
    Good work/life balance
    Decent benefits

    Cons

Severely underpaid for my title despite an off-cycle raise and a promotion. It would have taken me at least 2 more years at ATC to even get close to the market average salary for my position. My managers recognized this but were prevented from increasing my salary by HR.

Communication between departments was limited, which resulted in lots of problems, reword, missed requirements, and delays.

Major business decisions are made without consulting IT, resulting in unforeseen limitations and friction.

    Advice to Management

ATC makes billions of dollars each year. Stop being so selfish about your employee's salaries. Your turnaround rate won't be as high and you'll ultimately save more money in the long run.
