    Pros

Benefits are great. Stock option is a plus

    Cons

Not worth staying long too much favoritism. Could use a better wage raise program Stock and Bonuses are great but short term

    Advice to Management

Really need to get their stuff together too much chaos no sense of communication among the departments. Department Structural needs much work. Also, Managment needs to take responsibility and invest in the employees do more promoting with in instead of hiring from with out. This really brings down the self of steam of the team. Need to respect people lives and learn to manage work and life balance.

I worked at American Tower full-time

    Pros

Paycheck and flextime if your area/dept isn't short handed but every area is short handed.

    Cons

Very little training. Managers are inexperienced and demanding. No respect for employees. " move up or move out" in some cases but there are so few opportunities to move up that using that expression is stupid, especially if you don't work at corporate. Raises are laughable. Don't trust HR.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating people like they don't matter. You went on and on about getting rid of the silo mentality in the company. It was all talk like usual. Recognize the fools sooner.

I have been working at American Tower full-time

    Pros

American Tower has a great work life balance as well as a great benefit package.

    Cons

American Tower never promotes from within so its a dead end position. Managers will humiliate and abuse you if they feel its necessary. Beuracracy and bad process makes your position difficult. Customer service is poor and getting information from other departments is almost impossible.

    Advice to Management

Promote good people from within rather than hiring outsiders who do not have industry experience. Stop trying to hire the least expensive option to save money on the budget. Empower employess rather than bully them.

    Cons

Employees in the field are not appreciated for what they do, everything is decided by people that have not ever worked in the field.

    Advice to Management

No longer a family company, just a number

I worked at American Tower full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good for recent college grads as everything is manual and outdated software. Your able to take the experience and move to a better company

    Cons

Company is turning into a revolving door. They hire new talent who leaves within 1.5 yrs. Will not promote from within and constantly moving the positions to their corporate head quarters in Boston. Bonus were every quarter now once a year and retro a year. Raises 3% if your able to get it.

    Pros

Co-workers are nice people. Good cafeteria. Some good benefits. Convenient commute.

    Cons

IT management very poor. Run by cliques. Everything is micromanaged. No growth or learning opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Business management should wake up and realize IT costs them way too much due to inefficiency and obfuscation.
