I have been working at American Traveler full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Weekly meetings, the freedom to run your own branch of the business on your desk, getting to speak with different RNs and CSTs of all different backgrounds and learning about all the skills their specialties entail, contests within departments sometimes to push productivity levels and engage employees even more, and a family-feel to the company where you can talk to co-workers or management about anything going on work-related or personal.

    Cons

Work-Life Balance is a little trying for me where it's a sales position technically and you are expected to work harder and longer every week in order to meet goals and deadlines. 9am-6pm plus.

    Advice to Management

    Keep being awesome!

I have been working at American Traveler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have now been working at American Traveler for almost two years. One thing I love about this company is that they not only care about their travel nurses, but also care about their corporate employees and their overall job satisfaction. I have been given many opportunities within the company and in two short years have been acknowledged for my hard work via awards and promotions. I very much so enjoy my position at American Traveler – it is rewarding, fast paced and allows me to build relationships with not only my clients, but also my fellow colleagues.

    Cons

Not any I can think of.

    Advice to Management

More opportunities to interact with other departments

I have been working at American Traveler full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company looks for opportunities to help employees to grow and develop in their chosen career fields and will help employees develop strengths that will benefit both the employee and the company. In five years, I went from an entry level employee to managing a department.

    Cons

My long commute is a con.

    Advice to Management

Continue working on 'team building' for the company.

I have been working at American Traveler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked with American Traveler for a little over a year as a travel nurse. I love the company and staff. Everyone I have worked with has been very professional and friendly. My recruiter, Jennie, has been wonderful. She responds to calls and emails very quickly, if not instantly sometimes. She has always been able to line up an assignment for the area I have requested. The paperwork is fast and easy. If you’re looking for a phenomenal travel company to work with I would highly recommend American Traveler.

    Cons

I have not run into any problems when working with American Traveler.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

I've worked with my agent Michelle Gould. I was new to travel nursing when I started and Michelle talked me though all the steps to becoming a traveler. She was able to get me a job in all the cities I wanted. Michelle was also very easy to get a hold of. She was quick to get back to me whenever I had any questions. I've had a great experience!

    Cons

    I don't have any cons.
