    Advice to Management

Listen to the people on the shop floor as to what they need to succeed. Stop trying to tell them what they need.

    Pros

Co-workers are like family, people care, lots of focus on safety, lots of opportunity to get ahead or move up

    Cons

Hot, humid, some jobs are significantly different than others but all pays the same no matter how much tougher it is.

    Advice to Management

No advice to give. Just feedback on experience as I see it for the folks trying to make a living

I worked at American Trim (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to test your own resolve. Suppose to have 20 words, and not a lot of pros. If someone calls about a position network about it.

    Cons

Do not trust anyone in management, especially the sidney location. Turnover is very high, people are managed by fear, with suttle threats on losing your job if you can't get it done.

    Advice to Management

Move to an updated management styles, work together and rebuild trust between departments. Listen to the people the operational employees understand the true picture.

I worked at American Trim full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is competitive. Insurance is good, but deductible and co pays are getting higher each year. Perks very according to your job and boss.

    Cons

You work a lot of hours. Bonuses are normally ok, but getting smaller each year. Not a family atmosphere. They want you to make their ungodly rate and do it all the time you are there every day including weekends. Hard to get a raise. Unfair evaluations. Basically everyone works 6 10 or 12 hour days maybe 7 and its mandatory. Operations hides unfair treatment from HR and threatens workers.

    Advice to Management

Take some classes in management and human relations. They have emotionless engineers running who have formed a good ole boy network running the place. Women: you might as well not even try unless you have been military for 20 years and are used to being shot at. Overall...everyone is very unhappy at all levels here, but they make money so they are trapped.

    Pros

Decent Compensation, people are trying to do the right things they just have no direction.

    Cons

Lack willingness to change. Stuck in the 90s. High turnover. Don't care about work/life balance. The senior leadership are the only ones that have been here forever. They have been here too long and don't know how things work so much better in other places

    Advice to Management

I suggest that the company hire professionals to run the business and get the family out of the day-to-day management. They really are out of touch.

I worked at American Trim full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, Train you well. Co-workers are like family, but upper management has too much pride in themselves. A lot of overtime because the place can't keep new employees. Great break room. Long-range weekend schedule predictions.

    Cons

Drama. Seniority means nothing. Management plays favorites. They educate well on safety, but yet the place is filthy, powdered caustic on the ground, no one bothers to clean up their area correctly, age-old mops laying around. Say chemicals are not potent but some people get rashes and then they just use the excuse that they're not wearing all their PPE. Sitting puddles of chemicals on the ground. They become aware of safety problems after someone complains, but rarely follows threw with the problems. Everyone that's there had worked there for forever so they're blind to the filth. They use the "duck tape" fixing method. Company make millions of dollars, but can't afford to pay their slave employees more. Have to work a whole year just to get 1 week of vacation.

    Advice to Management

Stop picking favorites, swallow your pride, and pay your employers more money!
