    Pros

Great products and good agent support. Always innovative and cutting edge with the new trends in the financial marketplace.

    Cons

Did not have the same brand notoriety or recognition as other companies. Assets under management is growing but not on par with the big players in the space.

    Advice to Management

Have a more robust training system for new agents. Also need to provide more money to live off of. Commission only is hard to do when you are just starting out. Invest in your people.

I have been working at American United Life Insurance full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Free parking garage, discounted prices in cafeteria, fitness center, great volunteer opportunities, free health clinic, soda machines, and overall a lot of great people.

    Cons

Management cannot manage people and processes, too many procedures and processes, HR is too involved in the well being of the employees and it's not working.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the big picture and don't haggle your employees over the small stuff. You're there to service clients, let your employees do that and quit making it so difficult for them to work for you.

    Pros

Very good place to work because of the managers, package, and self made pay check! Work =Money! You also help people at the hardest times very rewarding!

    Cons

Non-stop! From 7am Monday until when it is done! Can be at 10pm which stinks! Can be upsetting when you lose a customer! Or when they are just unable to pay!

    Advice to Management

Keep it up and work at it! I know few jobs can have such extremes of vixtory and defeat vut that is the nature of the beast!

    Pros

Online training, some good products to sell

    Cons

Absolutely no support, no compensation for training, equipment, costs of doing business for them. Massive waits on being paid and for business to clear. Even though you are their agent you are totally on your own.

    Advice to Management

For new agents they need to provide more hands on training and not just the internet site. Also they need to provide a beginning salary to help an agent establish him/herself with a clientele and provide for training and licensing.
