I worked at American University of Health Sciences full-time

    Pros

Get in, catch up fast, update resume, and get out.

    Cons

It's a small size informal place and forever understaffed.

I worked at American University of Health Sciences full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    There is a nearby Starbucks.

If you are looking to lose weight, the Admissions department is the best place, no meal breaks and the stress alone will have you down 2 pant sizes in 30 days.

    Cons

    * No lunch break
    * force you to work beyond your 8 hours and will not compensate and threaten to fire you if you leave.
    * no training and expect you to just know everything.
    * will berate you and make obscene claims against you in-front of students.
    * no department works together
    * students and staff leave and sue the school
    * you are forced to fix the entrance exams so people can get into the school
    * forced to attend Prayer meetings and Morning Dews
    * not allowed to associate with any other department (especially admissions department)
    * forced to work holidays like Easter with no holiday pay or over time.

    Advice to Management

Stop using the Lords name in vain.

I worked at American University of Health Sciences full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    There literally aren't any.
    RUN.

    Cons

Never paid on time or the full amount. Gouging students and ruining their futures all for the owner's personal gain. Despicable people that operate under the sham of "service to God." Was asked to do things out of the scope of my title- including manual labor and even interviewing applicants (?). Complete lack of respect for anyone's time.

I have been working at American University of Health Sciences full-time

    Pros

    Need strong faith to survive

    Cons

Almost every Monday, there is a Morning Drew. The owner talks using God's name for only 4 things: 1. you need to work harder 2. you don't need rest 3. never ask for a raise 4. you are not doing enough. The owner yells all the time. All of these are based on the fact that each employee is doing several people's job, but with only 1 or less than 1 person's pay. It is a place seriously short of hands.

    Advice to Management

    Should stop slaving your employees

    Pros

    Pay and benefits are reasonable.

    Cons

This is a privately-owned "school." It seems to be a front for attracting unqualified but wealthy students from other countries into the US to pad the pockets of the owners. Look carefully at the faculty handbook's description of the criteria for tenure and promotion.

    Advice to Management

Needs to be run more like a school and less like a business.

It is a good place to learn. I learned a lot.

    Cons

    There is no work/life balance.

    Pros

Faith in the evolution of health care, enhancing the quality and quantity of graduating pharmacists, increased access to health care for minorities, Diversity, Team-Building career and Faith.

    Cons

We are still working out the kinks as we explore the future of PharmD programs in this country.

    Advice to Management

Let's keep on going and never look back

    Pros

Great rewards, great way to net work and most importantly, you are making a difference in someone else's life. Great.

    Cons

Job market is down, hard to find jobs to place people, need to be able to network well in order to get into the system.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps the best thing to do is to have connections with people, if you work in the field previously where you want to place people, this would be great for you.
