    Awesome management, CEO is the best I've ever worked for. She has moved into a new role but I am optimistic on our future.

    Pros

    Work from home. Fair compensation for Social Services work. The ability to work with an at risk population who needs services for survival and ability to thrive.

    Cons

    See below. The morale among upper management is very poor. It is "never enough". I did not feel as an investment within the company despite my multiple years of dedicated service. There was never a word or comment to counteract my decision to leave.

    Advice to Management

    Stop taking away autonomy. There is no longer a culture of using professional judgement. Very punitive measures of corrective action. Caseloads were impossible to manage within given timeframes and staff was expected to pick cup slack from teammates in regions that were 2-3 hours away. It was nearly impossible to effectively manage services to such members due to geographical restrictions. It was a job that was unattainable. The job was far better under a different management administration, however that drastically changed in 2016.

    Work from home. Working with dedicated, educated, professional team members.

    Cons

    New upper management has turned the company upside down. Huge turnover of field staff. Many with several years dedicated to the company.

    Advice to Management

    Realize you cannot learn how to do this job by reading a manual. Be respectful and professional to employees. Stop bullying staff. Utilize the management that has been with this program for years...they know what they are doing.

    Pros

    Parent company Anthem has great values, decent benefits, even though they are not available until first month after 30 days

    Cons

    Amerigroup Iowa is chaotic and has poor mid-level and upper management. High turnover in my department.

    Advice to Management

    Directors not held to any accountability. Implement 360 reviews. Implement policies consistently. Too much favoritism.

    Pros

    The hours are great, the benefits are great. Employees and other management beside my team is wonderful. Wonder events, company loves to eat.

    Cons

    Poor Management skills, no leadership, no respect. For the work we do, I feel we are under paid. Micro-management high turn over No work-life balance

    Pros

    Supportive management and coworkers. Very understanding with situations in your personal life, and flexible with work schedule.

    Cons

    Disorganization with policies and procedures. Same question different answer depending upon whom you ask.

    Advice to Management

    It would be nice to have a policy and procedure booklet to review. This would give everyone the same answer, and same area of reference.
