I think this depend to a large extent on the financial advisor you work under, but all of my co-workers and people I've met through ameriprise are high-ethics individuals who genuinely want the best for their client. Ameriprise pushes the holistic approach to financial planning, which is without a doubt the future of the industry.

I have been working at Ameriprise full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This position provides a good paying base salary with quarterly bonus opportunities and a great work/life balance. The culture of the firm is top notch as well!

    Cons

On the phones cold calling every day can be a grind so if you don't have a thick skin or are afraid to pick up a phone and talk to complete strangers you will struggle in this role.
