      It's decent

      Pros

Response to Covid was excellent CEO is sensitive to cultural and current social issues (gave half day on Juneteenth to all employees) Empowered employees at the branch level to make decisions

      Cons

The pay is awful. Annual raises are a complete insult. Mangers pile a ton of responsibility on subordinates and make the bonuses off their efforts. Incentive plan is a complete joke that takes forever to get paid. And mangers take 90 % of incentive opportunities and have teams clear exceptions and fight with underwriting so mangers can get the incentives. Tons of nepotism , mangers and upper management have their children hired. Mangers treat subordinates like office assistants and not bank staff. No accountability for teams that do not make goal , just more pressure added to the teams with higher production. Management plays favorites very openly and obviously and advances those they are friends with.

Learn what you need and RUN

      Pros

Because the benefits are not the best, you can ask for more $$.

      Cons

After the merger, I would say Everything, and I'm not using this term lightly. Upper management changes things on the fly. You find this out very quickly. 90% of the employees are not happy, hence the turnover. HR is the worst! Not helpful at! They can't explain their pay system without having to read a script. There is no "training" when you get hired on. You just "learn". No one knows anything when it comes to incentive pay. You just either get a check, or you don't. Not clearly defined by any metrics.

      Its ok, not the best

Apr 7, 2021 - Assistant Branch Manager in Bradenton, FL

      Pros

Hours are good. 1/2 day during the week for working Saturday. Local staff works well together. Not a "product pushing" bank but still have sale goals.

      Cons

Very little room for promotion. Horrible communication from back office departments. Branch always running with minimal staff. Special treatment towards long time employees.

      Disappointing experience and unprofessional treatment

      Nov 17, 2020 - Mortgage Loan Officer

      Pros

Marketing support is pretty strong, loan products are pretty competitive. The comp plan is mid-range of what you'll find anywhere else.

      Cons

The sales manager in my area is permitted to steal leads and generally behave hideously toward anyone within the territory that is not of a lateral or superior position. The attitude and behavior from this manager is completely unacceptable by any reasonable standard but is openly known to just about everyone in the area and has been previously reported on numerous occasions to human resources but of course nothing is done about it so it's tolerated. You figure out pretty fast how bad it is. I am just the latest new hire to experience it. Hiring people into this situation is a cruel waste of time and energy to well-meaning and diligent professionals. Training takes place over a 2-day period where you are mostly instructed on how to enter a loan into their LO software. Other than that it's a sink or swim situation which wouldn't be terrible if your manager wasn't so hostile. If you find yourself treated like garbage you'll discover that human resources ultimately builds a case to side with management so don't bother with HR. If you are a decent person who treats people respectfully and simply wants the same in return I would avoid this job.

      Toxic work environment

Feb 15, 2021 - Bilingual Teller in Moultrie, GA

      Pros

None, this job was hell on earth.

      Cons

Toxic environment, high-school clique vibes, no work life balance, no job security, they only raise Pay by a few cents, indifferent management, lack of ethics and morals, a deep lack of empathy and humanity, just a shady, rachet "Bank".
