I worked at Ameristar Casinos part-time

    Pros

My department was supportive and innovative

    Cons

Everyone who is at the top started at the company from day 1. They get the job not because they are qualified rather than because of their seniority. Thus, the culture is thwarted, their turnover rate is high, and some managers including the entire HR team from the Director below, have high-horse syndrome and would rather follow their feelings rather than policy.

    Advice to Management

Hire from outside of your organization in order to improve.

    Pros

Seriously can not think of one. It is a check and that is about it.

    Cons

Management micromanaging every aspect of everything. Thrive on a culture of discipline and fear. Will “observe” in sans spy on you to document everything you do to use against you on your evaluation so you get deducted on your raise. Will belittle you in front of upper management to make themselves look good. This place is a sinking ship. The facility is a turd. I hope Boyd realizes they just bought a nightmare. You all recognize and glad hand people that lie cheat and steal and punish those who did everything they could do make it better. Harassment of all kinds runs rampant.

    Advice to Management

Close the property it is not worth it
