    Pros

Great brand that can be leveraged to create valuable and unique partnerships with luxury brands.

    Cons

HIV no longer top of mind, thus loosing relevancy as an issue area.

    Advice to Management

Create a pipeline for talent, promote more often from within, create incentives aligned with fundraising performance. Treat your staff better then external consultants.

I worked at Amfar full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits-sick days, comp time, 4013B
Recent change in fundraising and event management, where a lot of the issues were
Lots of employees who are lazy and complacent, just going through the motions

    Cons

CEO is concerned with his own image and advancement
The glamour of the events gets more attention than the actual programs and the managers, researchers and administrators who run them
