I worked at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Free food before shift, breaks, lunch and after work
-Free glass of wine or beer after shift if you're 21+
    -Flexible with college students schedule
    -Always shifts to pick up

    Cons

-Can get very busy so you must always be on your feet
    -Must work weekends

    Advice to Management

-Don't let friendships and work politics run your business
-Look into why good loyal employees left= bad management aka managers with no good experience and employees don't trust them

I have been working at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My shifts are not too long, not much heavy lifting. Managers are all young and friendly. Big staff so shifts are easily covered.

    Cons

Too many managers, training is not efficient. Some positions are underpaid. Rules are often not rules are often not enforced.

    Advice to Management

Hire more experienced servers and spend more time training.

    Pros

Great tips, free food, all locations are generally nice and clean, regulars are great, and great work atmosphere

    Cons

Management is disorganized, understaffed, some coworkers work harder or less than others which brings down the teamwork vibe, favoritism in the workplace, hard to call out when needed.

    Advice to Management

Management should work on doing better on organization and giving fair scheduling. Understand when employees can't work certain days or shifts instead of scold them for it. Treat employees fair.

I worked at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

good tips, good free meals, closed thanksgiving day, closed on Christmas eve and Christmas day

    Cons

preference to others, if you are working with them for a while they don't promote you, they promote only the ones they like, put a lot of miles on my car because of the delivery job, job can get boring after a while

    Advice to Management

create more incentives for employees, get your managers to be more professional, you have a very good business, but management can act childish sometimes.

I have been working at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria (More than a year)

    Pros

Great training, supportive managers who help on the floor when you need them, flexiblity to pick up shifts at other stores and you can also get your shift covered by employees at other stores which is great when you need a shift covered. No tipping out! Free food!!! I was part time so I'm not sure about benefits.

    Cons

I really did not find many cons working here. I didn't like the set schedule, it sucks if you were scheduled on a Saturday night and then Sunday day because that is your schedule for the quarter. Obviously it's hard to get a Sunday covered so you are kinda screwed. No free breadsticks also sucked!

I worked at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Free (delicious) food
    - Well-organized Management structure
    - Flexible when requesting time-off

    Cons

    - Expect to work weekends
    - You never know exactly when you'll get off of work, which makes it difficult to plan for your free time outside of work.

    Advice to Management

    - Upper Management could show a little more appreciation for store-level managers. Having a company party, or even taking the employees out for dinner could be a good way to show such appreciation, and even create a sense of pride within the company.

I worked at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria part-time

    Pros

Free delicious meals. Delivering pizzas is extremely easy work. Good work environment. If you enjoy driving then this job is fantastic. Servers make a lot of money. You learn about all the available local roads.

    Cons

The pay is terrible for drivers. Minimum wage + gas compensation + tips. No opportunities for advancement whatsoever. The job can be extremely repetitive. Weekend shifts are a must. Weekdays are extremely slow.

    Advice to Management

Create more opportunities for advancement. Pay your employees better. Paying at minimum wage gives off the impression that you'd pay even less if you could, however the government is stopping you from doing so.

I worked at Amici's East Coast Pizzeria part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked at the Soma location in SF so it was really fun being aroung all the baseball fans during the season. A pro is that you are entitled to one meal per shift.

    Cons

Most of the workers here are Brazilian and anytime there is a job opening, they usually just refer a friend or family member that has no prior restuarnt experience and so the people that have worked there forever are not given the oppourtunity to be promoted. also, during baseball season or any special events, they require you to work two weekends days and sometimes your shifts are from a certain time to "x" time off and so you can never make plans with friends because you never know what time you will be off.

    Advice to Management

To treat everyone as an equal regardless of race and position they are in. In terms of personal growth, i'd say to offer promotions to those that have dedicated years to the success of the company by promoting from within.
