I have been working at Ammar's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

8-5 M-F job not a very difficult job

    Cons

Low pay no appreciation for the long term employees

    Advice to Management

    Increase pay for called employees

    I worked at Ammar's full-time

    Pros

People I worked with were great.

    Cons

High turn over seems like they work you two weeks and then let you go. I was hired worked two weeks and was let go. I heard from other employees that the position I worked the turn over was bad. I know they had gone through at least 5 people before I was hired and let go. The biggest slap in the face was training the new guy who was going to replace me and get let go the same day.

    I worked at Ammar's full-time

    Pros

Paid vacations which increased as your time during employment with them did. When our store closed I had 3 weeks paid vacation.

    Offered dental and heath insurance.

Set schedule every week. I was first shift, so it was great.

    Cons

Horrible pay. HORRIBLE. Office Assistant only making $7.90? Yep.

Not very good work/home balance but of course, it's retail.

    Advice to Management

I had a nice manager who was very understanding and accommodating.

For the company - upgrade! I get it you're not in debt but the employees need more pay and the registers need upgrades.

    I worked at Ammar's full-time

    Pros

Hours are great, rarely work weekends, they let you be a Buyer

    Cons

None really. Just like any job, it's work.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

There are no pros, other than simply a paycheck. And a minimal paycheck at that.

    Cons

Overbearing management. Complete lack of respect for employees. No technology. Not open to suggestions for technological advancements or improvements. Company still lives in the '70's.

    Advice to Management

Retire. Give some young blood a chance to run the company in a modern world.
