    I have been working at Amneal Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The people are incredibly friendly at the location I work at in Piscataway. People I don't even know always stop and say "good morning" or "hello" which is nice. Also, we work really hard but we take pride in being the fastest growing generic pharmaceutical company in the business. Does that mean long hours sometimes? Yes. However, management is right there with you working the overtime. I've read some of the reviews here and I am not of Indian decent. I have NEVER felt like I was an outsider. They treat me like part of the family and I've enjoyed learning so much about other cultures. I see it as a good thing. Benefits are good and start from date of hire. The most important and enjoyable part of my job is everything I have learned through hands on experience. This is not a job, it's a career.

    Cons

    The only "con" I can think of - I wish I had more vacation days.

    Advice to Management

    The recognition awards are always appreciated when my colleagues and I go above and beyond. Maybe a little more vacation time?

    Pros

    Lots of techniques allowed to learn such as essential fundamental skills

    Cons

    Senior/tenured workers are often not that knowledgeable and abuse their seniority/position.
    Raises and promotions aren't based on effort or improvement, they are based on time worked at company.
    Leadership is very much lacking where many times projects end up missing deadlines or delayed because of poor management and planning.

    Advice to Management

    Improve salary and recognition of effort.

    Pros

    Co-workers are the main reason.They are very friendly and cooperative. Lot of things to learn if you are an entry level employee.

    Cons

    There is a lot of partiality towards gujarati employees by lower and upper management. Also, the managers any group leaders tend to have favorite employees and let them have it easy while other employees have toPick up the slack. The VP is also another big reason not to work here. He acts like a pervert with zero professionalism. There is no appreciation from anyone if you work hard. But if you are having a bad day as slip up slightly, you are not gonna hear the us of it. They demean you and insult you infront of all the other employees.

    Advice to Management

    Try to appreciate your employees for their work.

    Pros

    It's a reasonable working atmosphere. I'm happy with the pay and yearly bonus. The health insurance rate is decent. Every boss is different but mine happens to be great so for me it may be a better experience than what others may have in the company.
    Finance group are a very good hearted, generous group once they let you in which takes time.

    Cons

    There have been company rule changes in a moments notice. Literally within hours after everyone has made a choice on what to do during inclement weather.
    We may not get an annual bonus this year.
    I'm not a fan of our new RX plan trying to charge off $200 deductible up front opposed to consistent and normal copays.
    Work load has increased and staff has not grown to handle workload adequately so everyone is stressed out.
    Software changes and updates have either not happened or has been very temperamental process.
    New HR policies have decreased flexibility, making work/life balance more difficult and causing frustration especially among employees who've been with Amneal longer.

    Advice to Management

    Let our managers manage and don't have HR override what our directors/managers tells us we can do.
    Invest in software/server updates.
    Dump Optum RX
    Be more work/life balance friendly
    Focus on quality of life and productivity tools

    Day shift. Fellow employees are good to work with. Air conditioned.

    Cons

    Hard work does not get you promoted in this facility only brown nosing does

    Advice to Management

    Promote the most qualified person . Get rid of the current HR and start fresh with a new one. The current one only helps if you have a title in front of your name.

    Pros

    Great learning experience for those who are new to the industry. If you love working in a lab this may be a great start of the career for you. On the other hand, if you're not sure if you want to pursue an analytical career may want to consider additional options.

    - Long Hours
    - Self training
    - Lack of communication among co-workers and managers
    - Guidance can be very misleading
    - Open room for discussion but not always valued
    - Long weekly meeting

    Advice to Management

    Be willing to support staff's feedback and be more open to listening to their concerns. Tell your staff to be more supportive and more respectful towards others. It's considered illegal to have your co-workers to disrespect, verabally harass, and bully you.
