    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Ampco-Pittsburgh full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good location near but not in the city. Pay seems fair and around the market median for the area.

    Cons

Management is toothless and aimless. Poor employees are not trained or asked to improve, and good employees are not properly rewarded for their contributions. There is currently about 1 consultant and 1 VP for every 3 staff employees, and no room for the staff employees to grow.

    Advice to Management

Invest time and effort in to training staff, and separate the wheat from the chaff.

    Approves of CEO

    I have been working at Ampco-Pittsburgh full-time

    Pros

Management cares about its employees and their safety. The new CEO has taken steps to grow the Company which has not been done for more than a decade. Although prior depressed business conditions required cost cutting measures to be taken, the market seems to be rebounding and hopefully the company will return to profitability. CEO rating below is not Robert Paul (retired in 2014), it is John Stanik.

    Cons

It operates in cyclical industries which leads to periods of depressed market conditions.

    Advice to Management

Continue to integrate recent acquisitions and continue to look for additional strategic acquisitions.

    I have been working at Ampco-Pittsburgh full-time

    Pros

You don't have to drive downtown, but can still get to the city easy enough

    Cons

Too many to list. Older culture that doesn't work to grow employees.
