I have been working at Amphenol full-time

    Pros

We get to dictate our own projects, much of the time. There is so much low hanging fruit, it's easy to make a difference.

Pay is decent, especially for the area.

    Cons

Direction is sometimes unclear. There is TOO MUCH low hanging fruit. Sometimes it's difficult to finish one project without getting others piled on.

I have been working at Amphenol full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fast paced environment with plenty to do. There does not seem to be a lack of orders. With a little initiative, you can make a noticeable impact.

    Cons

Antiquated systems and equipment. Need to invest in automation and better technology. Leaders need to lead by example and not by emotions.

    Advice to Management

Automate, upgrade equipment and invest in better technology.

I have been working at Amphenol as an intern

    Pros

Unlimited overtime, friendly co-workers, job rotation (operate multiple machines per shift instead of the same one)

    Cons

The handling of small parts, machine quality (downtime and operating capacity of the non automated machines)

    Advice to Management

Upgrade to fully automated systems and rearrange the layout of the facility so there is easy transition. Also redesign the trimmer machine very slow process.

I have been working at Amphenol full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Proximity to home, busy place not much down time, not micro managed, coworkers are all really nice and helpful, always willing

    Cons

Too many chiefs, there are alot of lifers there and sometimes they do not always look to the future and change does not seem to be taken well, so many are set in their ways

    Advice to Management

It would be nice if every department worked with instead of against eachother

I have been working at Amphenol full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people at Borisch really make it a great place to be. Coworkers strive to help each other within and across departments. There is room for growth and management is open to hearing your goals and helping you work towards them.

    Cons

There seems to be a somewhat consistent feel of departments being understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Put more weight in employee morale. Create more opportunities to reward effort even on a small scale.
