    Pros

    Good and friendly QA staff.

    Cons

Worked on Triton transcription platform, not the best speech rec editing platform out there, but it was okay. The worst was I was NOT told before I was hired that pay would be WITHOUT spaces, this makes a huge difference in your pay. I only learned this when I started training. The pay is terrible, but throw in no pay for spaces and it is not a living wage. I think there were probably good supervisors there, but mine was not one of them, a nasty person. I left due to the low pay scale.

    Advice to Management

Be very clear in your communication about your pay scale BEFORE the MT is hired. Give training to some of your managers on their communication skills.

    Pros

There are some really lovely people who work for the company and I enjoyed developing a relationship with those select few.

    Cons

As difficult as this job is, it was magnified by the constant expectation of underhanded practices by my supervisor. I've never had to work so hard and so long just to scrape by!

    Advice to Management

The best suggestion would probably be to learn a better way of communicating. Expecting employees to read between the lines because you don't want to be implicated in requesting improper practices is a really poor way of managing.

I worked at Amphion Medical Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is nothing good to say about this company. The supervisors are horrible and the HR is ineffective. Not enough work to make a living.

    Cons

They gave me about 10 reports a day to do and expected me to be waiting the whole time for more work. They were paying me about .60 per report, or $6.00 a day to sit there for eight hours? I have more than 15 years experience in the business. This is the worst company ever!

    Advice to Management

I suggest you fold up this nasty company and go to church and pray for forgiveness for your lies. You screwed employees by not taxing them and not letting them know, you charge way too much for health care. You need to go away.

I worked at Amphion Medical Solutions part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amphion has wonderful and supportive staff. Very informative and useful daily emails. QA is reasonable and fair. Supervisory staff available for all shifts - never left without help or direction if needed.

    Cons

Spaces are not included in line count which means drastic cut in pay (usually around 40%). Out of work frequently once MTs/editors get up to speed with an account. Some accounts have over 50 pages of specifics to learn.
