I have been working at Ampush full-time

    Pros

Start up culture, work hard to make you successful

    Cons

You're expected to bridge the gap for foundational issues with man hours, which leads to some high stress weeks, although it's tempered with low stress ones.

    Advice to Management

Ad ops will eventually have to be automated

    Pros

Ability to grow based on merit based environment. Lots of social activities and team building. Founders are always at work. Lots of bright people.

    Cons

Lack of experience in technical areas lead to a immature product line. Also sometimes lack of experience at top to give clear focus and direction.

    Advice to Management

Keep growing the company by hiring bright people and keep core values

    Pros

It's a fun place to work with a lot of cool people who care about what they're doing. Definitely a good experience.

    Cons

When I worked there they were growing fast. The growing pains resulted in occasional miscommunication or disorganization.

I have been working at Ampush full-time

    Pros

Great environment, from cool offices to a close-knit, spirited culture.

Incredibly smart people, all of which are hungry and driven. This leads to a lot of hustle and progress.

Compensation, bonuses, and perks are great.

    Cons

Things break (as expected at a young, fast-paced startup) and this can be overwhelming, leading to a minor sense of "overwork" and "running on a treadmill" for a select few.

Unfortunately, negativity can be poisonous, but the company knows how to look forward and makes plenty of room for the ballers to continue to grow and win. Many success stories over the past three years, and more than many brewing at this time.

I have been working at Ampush full-time

    Pros

The culture at Ampush is one of the company's strongest pros. It's one of empowerment and autonomy, where people are regularly given opportunities to "punch above their weight class". Colleagues are top notch and management is willing to give you as much responsibility as you've proven you can shoulder. Great environment to drive impact and start or grow your career.

    Cons

The main con is inexperience, this is mainly due to the fact that the company skews younger, which can lead to a sense of re-inventing the wheel at times. The flip side of this con, is this creates a very participatory environment where everyone builds a solution together.

Ampush isn't for everyone. People who thrive here tend to deal well with ambiguity, be long on initiative, look to add value vs "do their job", and work damn hard.

    Advice to Management

Keep the bar high and maintain culture as you scale.

I have been working at Ampush full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

--You are given ownership and exposure from your first week.
--You are surrounded by extremely smart, driven, entrepreneurial, and fun people.
--Internal decisions are made very transparent.
--Despite the rapid growth, you still have the ability to wear more than one hat and get involved in side projects.
--Everyone's ideas are taken seriously, no matter your role in the company (entrepreneurship is encouraged).

    Cons

We are still in the midst of becoming a true technology company. Ampush hires extremely smart people and is growing very aggressively, but often, the technology cannot keep up, inhibiting our ability to perform to our full potential. While this often leads to much frustration, it also allows for out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving, ensuring that potentially redundant aspects of the job remain fresh and exciting.

    Advice to Management

As the company continues to grow, make sure you remain true to the start-upy culture. The founders already do a good job of this, but make sure you continue to acknowledge that the company is only as good as its employees.

I have been working at Ampush full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company culture is one of the best I've ever seen
Brainpower in the company is phenomenal
Approachability of every employee from bottom to the top is some of the best I've seen
For a young company, the processes in place are very impressive
Customers absolutely love doing business with the company
The recruiting process is very first class and negotiating terms was very fair

    Cons

Location of company relative to CalTrain makes getting to the office challenging! Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things!

    Advice to Management

Keep the approachability factor high like it is currently

Great group of people to work with and it is a very fun culture to be a part of. Company is trying to grow fast and its a good time to be a part of the company.

    Cons

Its very scrappy right now and you have to be able to work in that environment

I have been working at Ampush full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For hard working and smart people, new opportunities are provided to those who ask.
People here are bright and fun to work with.
Benefits are solid and getting better. Lunch, snacks, game room, travel (if desired), 100% healthcare, gym membership.
Leadership is transparent (more than I've seen at any company), dedicated to your personal growth and are receptive if you ask for help / raise concerns.

    Cons

Slackers do not do well here - they surface and don't last long.
The hours can be long (also short during times).

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring smart people. Remain transparent.

I have been working at Ampush full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to learn new skills, experience some great mentorship, and work in the growing ad tech industry. The people are great, friendly, knowledgable and experienced. Executive team clearly puts a lot of effort into making Ampush a great place to work with clear and varied career paths.

    Cons

As the company grows it's feeling a bit less of a startup and a bit more corporate. Things change quickly so you have to adapt quickly. Everyone is still learning including those at the top so while nothing is perfect things continue to improve more and more over time.
