I have been working at Amrita University full-time

    Pros

Very good atmosphere to gain knowledge. Lot of support from teachers who make our basics strong. Gate coaching classes in the campus conducted by Karthi Sir is the main thing that really helped. Very good course structure for B-Tech. Helped a lot of students including me to get into a better college for masters and get a good job. After all basics is what matters.

    Cons

Students should not be treated like kids. That is the reason why many find difficult to adjust when they see the real world out. Not to indulge in bad, but should be given more freedom like how the real world works. Otherwise students who are so much protected, will not know how the real world works. Nothing is so perfect when it comes to reality. Expectations should be set a little low.

    Advice to Management

Too many restrictions, like on dressing upto a limit should not be there. It can be restricted provided it is within the limits of decency. And also with regards to freedom can be given a little more freedom. Going out is not a sin. It will help you grow, make you smart to do things and boost your confidence because nothing is so perfect in the real world.Little bit more freedom can be given.

I worked at Amrita University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

*Salary structure is real good compared to other private engineering colleges
*Co-workers are really good and helpful ( well except few that we can find everywhere)
*Good support and encouragement for your career growth

    Cons

*No proper increment or appraisal system. A new fresh recruit from college ends up earning almost as you with more years of experience.
*Employees who work hard are made to slog, those who hardly work walk about carefree.

    Advice to Management

You know better than anyone else!
