I worked at Amyx full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

health insurance rates are good and they have 401k matching. 10 paid holidays. Training costs reimbursement. Management knowledgeable and treatment is fair.

    Cons

PTO days are two weeks. there are not enough cons to fill the 20 words minimum requirement on glassdoor. They offer Flex accounts FSA etc just like a fulltime job in bigger firms.

I have been working at Amyx full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great company with forward thinking growth. Firm believer in taking care of the folks. Will stay with this company as long as they keep up the good work and support!

    Cons

Need to keep PMs better informed of changes in the back office. Need to be more proactive with upcoming changes.

I have been working at Amyx full-time

    Pros

Amyx has a good vibe to the office. There's a lot of work to do since the company has been growing so rapidly in recent years, but people in the headquarters genuinely like each other. There's a "gang-tackling" approach to problem solving here which gets everyone involved and creates buy-in on all major decisions.

The company has really grown up in recent years, both in size and in operational maturity. The revenue and staff growth have created career opportunities inside the company and have also forced a move to a larger, more modern office.

The benefits package is good and even in the Low Price Technically Acceptable era of government contracting, Amyx has made a point of adding at least one new employee benefit annually. Amyx believes in compensating everyone fairly for their work and pays bonuses to employees at all levels of the company at the end of year based on their contribution to growth.

The strongest endorsement I can give the company is this: I dragged a friend in after I'd only been here 6 months. It's a good place to be.

    Cons

There are always growing pains for a company going through major change, and Amyx is no exception. A few departments are working near capacity to keep up with the pace, but the company has invested recently to expand capture, recruiting, and proposals.

    Pros

My time at Amyx was amazing - the work was interesting and the teams were well-recognized. The pay was definitely fair. And the leadership of the organization is helping it grow.

    Cons

Honestly, no complains you wouldn't find about just working in general.

    Advice to Management

    Keep growing!

I have been working at Amyx full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company with decent benefits and good management. Leadership is good and mid level management is flexable and very understanding.

    Cons

I wish they offered military leave for individuals who are in the Guard or Reserves and sometimes there rates are not very competitive with industry standards in my opinion

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Listen to your employees and keep up the high standards for workers.

I have been working at Amyx full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits for this size of company- worked at much larger organizations and they weren't this good. PTO could be better, but offer flexible schedule -manager permitting.

Always up to date with what is going on in company through the weekly newsletter sent out by the CEO.

CEO is very involved in every aspect of the organization, always an open door to discuss things for ideas and he is very easy to talk to.

Work/Life balance exists. HQ is a small office and everyone is extremely nice, so you come in work hard and are still able to enjoy you family at the end of the day. They understand people have a life outside of work which is very hard to find in the DC metro area.

Employee events in the summer and winter- which is great to get everyone together.

    Cons

Need to become more tech savvy and stay ahead with the technology times. For this size company we are getting there though.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with communication as much as possible and things will continue to be good.

I worked at Amyx full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Healthcare coverage is not too expensive and offers low deductibles and/or co-pays
Government holidays are paid days off so you don't have to burn vacation time

    Cons

Geographically separated from management, minimal discussions with leadership and no real support, clients lack of trust in ability to complete job, job not as advertised, no understanding and knowledge of job functions and role, 401k company match low, salary low for the area, management does not have clear vision and knowledge of local job market, no real networking and career advancement outside of DC area, paid vacation time is also below average
