If you are not an engineer or working in a science oriented role you will find that there are two sides to this company... The differences in pay and benefits are truly astounding. When anything goes wrong accountability is nonexistent.

Corporate culture, "good ol' boys club", Lip service on core values, no chance for promotions or pay increases.

Field Experience Spend the first 20 days learning about different components about the industry and operations through a hands-on experience in the field. Project is worthwhile and meaningful The people are awesome. Other employees try very hard to incorporate you in both work and social settings Culture promotes collaboration, creative thinking, and challenging the status quo. Good pay for an intern Drive time to office very short

Only one other intern Smaller office Not having a company vehicle to ride to the field. Required tagging along with an engineer, foremen, or operator.

Very good benefits (medical, 401k, etc..) Nice facilities. Good pay and bonuses.

Management is focused up and does very little to empower and effectively use the talents of their teams.

I felt valued from the moment I stepped into my internship. They wanted to teach me as much as they possibly could in the three short months I was there. I was able to work on projects that were valuable to the team and they continue to use to this day. They also had an excellent work-life balance with the 9/80 schedule. Absolutely loved my time with Anadarko.

Cons

The pay could have been a little more competitive but considering the pros it is a pretty could trade off.

The company has decent insurance and good 401k plans. The company events can be over the top fabulous. The pay is very competitive

Cons

There are a load of managers in the finance area that have no business being in management. They do not lead. There is no collaborative spirit in many groups. There is generally too little staff to do the job at hand well.

None really come to mind other than that they pay fairly well and have decent benefits.

Management is detached and dishonest. Very much a “who you know in order to advance” company. Back-stabbing. Steer clear.
