I have been working at Anaheim Regional Medical Center full-time

    Pros

People are team players. Once you get used to working here you can literally work anywhere.

    Cons

Low starting salary. Not a magnet hospital. Not as technologically advanced as other hospitals.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees more and RN's salary is way too low here.

I have been working at Anaheim Regional Medical Center part-time

    Pros

Staff has great teamwork. Nurses care about the patients.

    Cons

Inefficient processes. Horrible EMR system. Management only worries about budget and not patient safety or staff safety. No accountability. Directors get to do whatever they want to do and don't follow policies.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your staff. Acknowledge staff who has worked hard and stayed. Listen and take suggestions from staff. People don't leave because of their salary. They leave because of their managers/directors!

I worked at Anaheim Regional Medical Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

some of the staff are team players

    Cons

management only cares about decreasing costs. They do not care about overworking staff or putting staff at risk. The hospital is gross. It floods every time it rains and most employees have allergies at work only.

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff like human beings and they will stay longer.

I have been working at Anaheim Regional Medical Center full-time

    Pros

Like the people, staff, that I work with. That's all!

    Cons

Upper managers and admin. are all over the page, very poor communicators, don't care about their staff, all about the money! Cafeteria is gross and expensive.

    Advice to Management

As above. Do something for your staff.

I have been working at Anaheim Regional Medical Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some very good nurses, hire mostly new grads, hire ADN

    Cons

Nurses get a little experience and quit. Admits can be 2 at once. Charge nurses do not know how to help on the floor so don't. Some of the MDs just hate nurses and will not talk to them. Many heroin addicts and homeless patients. Corporation takes away benefits, actually took medications away from insurance coverage until so many people quit that they put them back. Pay is substandard. Terribly understaffed and managers flex people anyway. Filthy, old med surg tower unit. Computer system (CPSI) is hopelessly complicated. There is nothing to keep nurses here.

    Advice to Management

Have a job fair. Hire gobs of nurses, not just a couple at a time. Learn to work the floor. Get rid of the house supervisors that just want to fill beds with no regard for nursing. Admit that ER isn't the only place that is busy or that matters. Drop the stupid pizza parties and have actual team building activities. Give raises, bonuses. Clean up those dirty towers. Dump CPSI. Get an actual education department. YOU ARE LOSING NURSES TO BETTER HOSPITALS. THESE ARE YOUR COMPETITION. TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. YOU CANNOT RUN A HOSPITAL WITHOUT NURSES.

I have been working at Anaheim Regional Medical Center (More than a year)

    Pros

I love helping people specially when my type of work environment is all about that, my MD would always get me to learn new things. Work flow always went excellent don't have to put up with much as other MD offices.

    Cons

I never see work as competition with other employees, however other may see it that way so always try to keep your ego strong and do not let others affect your work ethic.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to always be sincere of workers, specially when they do there best to help the office look better as far as giving best quality to patients and other employees with helpful needs.
