I have been working at Anastasia Beverly Hills full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Getting free product is about it.

    Cons

You make great friends and then watch them slowly get fired, one by one. The free gratis is nice but not enough to out weigh the demoralization and humiliation you feel daily. Upper management needs to go. HR is a joke. If you try and talk to them, you will be fired within a month for "expressing your feelings". No bonuses, reviews...nothing to make you want to thrive. In fact, it's the opposite, the owner says that if you still have a job then you're doing a good job so everyone walks around on eggshells waiting to see who gets the axe next.

I worked at Anastasia Beverly Hills full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Public perception of brand is positive. Company growth potential was strong but seems to be slowing Building Services are nice Parking is easy

    Cons

You will; Be exposed to bully’s in the work environment Have little to no future growth potential Meet smart people and wonder why they stay Not be truly appreciated, no matter how many lunches they “give” you Become numb to a revolving door of colleagues Not be allowed to work from home Feel the unhappiness and regret from other colleagues Not be listened to, but instead told what is best for you by leaders Be watched over all day on surveillance cameras Be forced to absorb other departmental tasks because they are overwhelmed Fly different airlines to/from different airports in the same city to save money Find out from colleagues that a search is underway for your job Be one of the worst customers with your vendor partners Be subjected to off-handed negative remarks by the founder Suffer from meeting fatigue Be embarrassed by this company, personally & professionally

I have been working at Anastasia Beverly Hills full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Once in a while you get free products AFTER all the influencers the company need to suck up to get theirs. Priority- Profit gain before employees.

    Cons

“If you bear with us during our time of growth, we believe that our whole company will feel positive impact .” Making that type of statement is meaningless when when your action is to tell us to suck it up because we are Spartans (like the movie 300 *rolling my eyes) and how she only want strong people and not weak people who want to talk about feelings. Interesting method of running a company. Turnover rate is more than 20% but let HR tell you it’s industry standard. (It would be industry standard if you compare to a company with 300+ employees... while they have less than 90 people in the office!) During one of the company meeting someone ask about the culture here... Anastasia didn’t even understand what or how to answer it so she compared ABH to the movie 300 because their suite is 300. What a joke. Culture here is “fake it till you make it” with a side of “Mean girls”.

I worked at Anastasia Beverly Hills full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Biannual gratis- good product. Occasional celebrity sightings.

    Cons

Extremely top heavy staffing- obvious excess of directors, executives, and VP level staff and far too few employees actually executing the work. Turnover is outrageous and continues to be an issue- that no one acknowledges. Not even bare bones perks- no reviews, no bonuses, no raises, no promotions, no room for growth, mediocre pay- which is especially unacceptable now that the company took on investors. Attitude from the top is that employees are all easily replaceable and lucky to be there. HR (which only recently came into existence) always “plays devil’s advocate”- so good luck finding anyone to advocate for you unless you’re one of the devils. Very cheap- you will get pushback asking for common office supplies. Demoralizing.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. When decisions are made at the top many factors come into play. One of them is the way it will impact all of our employees, including hiring a strong leadership team is critical to the growth of the organization. We often have to make long-term business decisions that could have negative implications in the short-term. If you bear with us during our time of growth, we believe that our whole company will feel a positive impact. We encourage you to express any concerns to our HR department. "The Rocketship to Success is Failing"

    1.0
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at Anastasia Beverly Hills full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The product give aways. Parking and gym on site.

    Cons

The success that the company was experiencing is faltering and employees are beginning to suffer. The owners, investors and top management team are always concerned about their jobs, plans and decisions, especially now that the company’s revenue is dropping. Because they are unsure what to do, their direction is unclear to their teams. Business processes defy common sense. The owners do not know how to run processes so that everything is properly reviewed to ensure projects for a launch run smoothly. Their input typically upsets the process, and results in failures while they blame others. The President needs to learn how to separate friendship from management. The result is employees who are feeling little faith in management, frustrated and concerned about the downturn.
