I have been working at Anderson-DuBose full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The owner of the company shows he cares about the people that work for him. That top down attitude is a nice feeling. Like the people I work with and the challenge of the job.

    Cons

Sometimes it is a bit demanding time wise, but not always.

    Advice to Management

The happier the employee, the happier the customer.

I have been working at Anderson-DuBose full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Local delivery route , no stayovers. Good pay and benefits. New equipment. Growing company

    Cons

It's not hard but it's delivery work. Once you learn the delivery its good, cart delivery no dolly walking. It's worth being home daily.

    Pros

The pay is great, the benefits are good. The hours can be good at times. You pick your bid every six months so you can plan your schedule. Frank is great and can be easy to work with. Warren seems nice when you see him. They have family events throughout the year. Bonuses if you qualify for them....... You need to work extra hard to get them. But are achievable.

    Cons

Don't plan to much as throughout the six months of your bid it will get changed around. They will add more stops to your route, then complain and threaten to write you up for suspension if you are late to your stores due to added stops. Seems every dispatcher is a supervisor. Lack of communication with owner. BIds are making less and less money every 6 months. They do have their favorite drivers that they cater to when they put our the bid packs and make sure they get the best runs and all the store they like and the most money bids.

    Advice to Management

Warren you are losing good working drivers due to the office staff.

    Pros

    Pay isn't horrible New building

    Cons

job is very physical, the dry dock is really hot and muggy and they wont put fans in there, you don't know what time your gonna get off for sure, you never know where your gonna work until you get there, 8 people where just hired for one shift and they still need people to work overtime, they do not care about you spending time with your family and they time your picks but don't take into account the time it takes to get carts, time spent waiting for the wrap machine or time to pull pallets and plastic, and management likes to get smart with you when asked to do their jobs oh yeah and they wait until an hour before the end of your shift and tell that your staying over for 2 hours.

    Advice to Management

schedule your employees better so no one is forced to work over or come in for a extra day relax your time so people aren't killing themselves all day I doubt anybody in management can hit those numbers while also cleaning up plastic and pulling pallets. Also I did notice that the freezer is full of food that was discarded for being dropped on the floor until there is a cookout.

I have been working at Anderson-DuBose full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None what so ever .. I see this company closing within three years at most in this area .. There is such a huge turnover in Drivers it makes your head spin .

    Cons

Management has no people skills what so ever .. Verbally abusive to employees and have not one clue as to what their Drivers go through to do their jobs . Union is totally worthless ..Not even located in Ohio .. They hire new drivers DAILY as they are either firing you or they quit ...

    Advice to Management

Take some people skill classes .. Go with your drivers to see what they go through .. If you spoke to your drivers instead of blame them for every thing that goes wrong you might not have to hire new drivers on a daily bases .

    I have been working at Anderson-DuBose full-time

    Pros

Great management and associates, everyone is friendly. Often provided lunch or other perks for no reason and they brought in massage thereapist one day. Management is easy going about time off and even more supportive of time with kids and family. Great pay and benefits too! Great communication between departments to ensure consistency and smooth work days. The day to day work environment is pleasant.

    Cons

You get holiday's off but not always on the day of the holiday, sometimes it has to be another day of the week. Not really a big deal but this is the only "con" I can think of.

    Advice to Management

Manage your time, this will let the work day flow more easily.

I have been working at Anderson-DuBose full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice new facility in Lordstown ohio with a lot of new equipment

    Cons

Upper management holds any and all workers down. You will NEVER excel nor exceed at this company. Pay is well below industry average. Upper management sees employees as subordinates, often making fun of them behind closed doors. Owner is an amazing person but completly has his eyes closed as to how his business is run. This is a dead end job for most people.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and smell the coffee. You have amazing employes but you refuse to let them shine.

I have been working at Anderson-DuBose full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

the pay is decent ,the new building in lordstown is really nice and has great potential to work as a leading distribution center

    Cons

the biggest problem is under staffing which causes overtime almost everyday and the fact that the union pretty much does nothing to protect the workers

    Advice to Management

    hire more people
