I have been working at Andesa Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. Benefit Package is excellent.
    2. Management and the CEO want to get to know you and make an effort to. You are not just a worker; you are family!
    3. Management and the CEO have an open door policy.
    4. The company values are very close to my own: Honestly, Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Initiative..
    5. The company is employee focused which is great for the employee and our clients.
    6. The employee engagement committee works hard to provide fun activities and company outings for all employees: company holiday parties, company picnics, potlucks, pie contests, Andesa on the Move, and company wide walks.
    7. Andesa gives back to the community and encourages all employees to become involved.
    8. The work is challenging, but everyone is supportive and eager to lend a helping hand.
    9. Your managers will work with you if you express the desire for career advancement within the company. They want you to succeed, accomplish your goals and grow.
    10. The founding principles discussed in John Walker’s book still hold true to today.
    11. Excellent work/life balance.
    12. Ability to work from home.

    Cons

One thing I would like to see is an improved balance between the benefits package and the pay rate.

    Advice to Management

Please do not forget why you are here and what you are respresenting. Always stay true to the founding values and continue to build a company who truely appreciates their employees.

I have been working at Andesa Services full-time

    Pros

Low standards of hiring, easy first job to land straight out of college.

    Cons

Terrible working conditions. A lot of unpaid overtime. Cheats on employee satisfaction surveys by directly tying bonus pay to survey results.

    Advice to Management

Next time you hire a third party to assess employee satisfaction, maybe take their results seriously and share them with the company. It's not like anyone believes you when you say there's no problem.

I have been working at Andesa Services (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits and culture. They are a company that genuinely cares about their employees.

    Cons

Their systems are antiquated and they offer limited documentation to be able to gain a solid understanding of they systems. They offer a lot of down time initially to learn the system on your own and ask questions, but this can be very challenging depending on your style of learning.

    Advice to Management

Implement a more structured training program for new hires and find better ways to update their systems for ease of use for all employees.

I have been working at Andesa Services full-time

    Pros

Friendly coworkers make work enjoyable, comfortable office space even in cubicles, individual accountability for tasks with expectations nicely laid out, good benefits for health insurance and retirement matching

    Cons

Low salary compared to other companies in the area, office politics going on in management, aging technology and large amounts of technical debt that seem to be largely ignored, not much room for upward movement, sometimes customers and company needs come before employee well-being

I have been working at Andesa Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, great coworkers and management. Challenges you day to day. Promotes team work and acknowledges those that have gone above and beyond the company values. The best company I have had the pleasure to be apart of.

    Cons

Can be challenging at times to deal with the constant changes the company is going through. Change is not necessarily a bad thing since change = growth. I understand for some, change is tough to handle and have left. Those that stick around may find a rewarding experience to learn more and advance knowledge in different areas. The chances may be a con to some and a pro to others. I don't have anything bad to say about the company. It's how you interpret and adapt to the company changing/evolving that defines what type of person you are.

    Advice to Management

Do more employee surveys to gain better insight on how individuals feel about things happening within the company to prevent employees from talking about things on the back end with each other.

    Pros

Great benefits, fun people to work with, team work environment within the department. Your not just a number, almost everyone knows your name (including the CEO)

    Cons

Very little career advancement possibilities, Restructuring of Client services department will leave no or very little overtime opportunities, salary is low considering the work involved, values are being changed, management seems to not be interested in what the employee has to say

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more and recognize them for the work they do. It is scary the amount of people that walk out the door each month due to better opportunities and Andesa does nothing to retain them. When knowledgable employees leave, it puts stress and strain on the entire company. Wouldn't you want to retain your knowledgable employees? The Andesa culture is changing and it doesn't seem like it's for the better.

    Pros

The people you work with on a daily basis are great. Good communication between Developers and analysts.

    Cons

Middle management needs work. They can be biased, and prevent employees from advancing.

    Advice to Management

Don't provide a salary range to employees if you aren't going to give the minimum. This can cause resentment.
