I worked at Andra Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The only good thing I can say about this place is that its a steady, albeit low, paycheck & the people I was able to work with day-to-day were great.

    Cons

Cameras watch your every move, as does the owner - expect an email if you're 3 minutes late. The work environment itself is incredibly tense and most of us were constantly walking on eggshells so as not to get yelled at by, again, the owner. There is no trust on her end for ANY of her employees and it 100% shows in the way HR constantly changes. In my 4 years there, I counted at least 10 different people in that role....

    Advice to Management

WAKE UP!! Stop acting like you're better than your employees & start working towards the common goal you're ALL there for. It will make for a MUCH better work experience on all fronts, and people will actually want to stay and work for you. Also, maybe lay off on the verbal abuse of your employees.

    I worked at Andra Group

    Pros

I'm honestly struggling to fill this box with pros. Yes, the paycheck is steady and there's gated parking and a mediocre break room, but I think that's setting the bar really, really low. Unfortunately, Andra Group barely meets the minimums of what would be considered a professional workplace so that's the best I can come up with.

    Cons

The senior management are cruel, petty, and unprofessional. When I was there, it wasn't unusual to find seasoned professionals crying in the bathroom. Truly a terrible and sad place. The turnover is so high because any person with self-respect wouldn't stay, and those that try to tough it out eventually get fired over imaginary or shockingly minor offenses. I don't want to have my review flagged (so I can't name names)...

    Advice to Management

Treat people with professionalism and kindness. There are lots of skilled workers that would love to invest more in work, but that's not possible since you treat them like human garbage.

I worked at Andra Group for more than 3 years

    Pros

It was interesting work. There was AC for the office jobs.

    Cons

The pay is low and the benefits aren't good. The HR position was a rotating door and we didn't have one most of the time. They kind of had some sketchy practices with their salaried employees as well. The management style is very micromanager, some people do well under it, but I didn't. It was a very catty work environment, much like a high school lunchroom. It felt like there was little organization or planning...

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Andra Group for more than a year

    Pros

Pros are very difficult to convey. The only pro I can think of is free coffee

    Cons

The atmosphere is constantly filled with screaming, yelling and berating. Nothing you do is right. No one wants to listen and no one knows what direction to go into. The owner doesn't know anything about retail. As a result, she is extremely mean and doesn't treat anyone with respect. Management treats everyone like an animal. There is no training on their antiquated systems. You are expected to come into work during...

    Advice to Management

Don't treat your employees like animals. Learn the business. if you know what you're doing, you can teach others with confidence. This is a horrible, horrible place to work. Stop looking at the cameras you installed and work with your people .Don't spy on them just because you feel insecure about running your business

    I worked at Andra Group

    Pros

I met great people and you almost have to have a close knit kind group to survive in that kind of harsh environment.

    Cons

Tyrannical Owner is very much true which makes the whole working environment a hard one to work in. Nothing you do is right and owner changes her mind constantly but still get yelled at for not obeying. Worst years of my working career in that company. If you are okay with a bipolar kind of headship or if you really need the experience and can handle the toxic environment, I wouldn't recommend working there.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your people, and they will take care of you.

IM SITTONG HERE TRYING TO THINK OF A POSITIVE. OH, THE ASSISTANT BUYERS ARE NICE AND YOU GET WEEKENDS OFF!

    Cons

Take the time to think of every con a job could ever have. Got it? You'll experience them all if you work here. They seem so nice during the interview- they'll say that the environment is drama free, show you around the facilities and make you feel welcome and you'll think to yourself " Oh the glassdoor reviews were wrong". Advice to Management

No advice I give is going to change the way things work in this place- The owner is a tyrant and everyone is scared of her and kisses her butt. The owner needs a serious reality check. She's rude beyond measure and thinks that she's better than everyone. Advice to the owner- try being pleasant, you'll like life better. Advice to management- try being nice as well you dont have to act like female dogs to get respect. It...

I have been working at Andra Group

    Pros

A paycheck. Great co-workers. And since there's a 20 word minimum for this box I'll keep typing until it's all used.

    Cons

The worst environment I've ever experienced. Employees are looked at as replaceable things instead of valued humans. Of course, management and HR would say different but that's simply because they're a huge part of the problem. I've never worked for a more conniving, backwards, unethical company in my life. Also be careful buying product from here. Chances are they've been on a models body and resold as new. Please stay...

I have been working at Andra Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Andra Group, LP views each employee as a valued asset in the operation of business for herroom.com and hisroom.com. They really do strive to make the Company the best possible place to work. Their staffs efforts and team spirit contributed to help all of us achieve this goal.

    Cons

One of the only complaints I can think of is that executives are overly friendly and almost too nice to work for. There are not many bosses as amazing as the ones I work with at herroom.com.

    Advice to Management

Management is too dedicated to making this a great place to work. They have various rules and regulations in place that are good for protecting employees. The HR Manager is professional and certified in her specialty so everything is strict but proper.

    Pros

A recruiter helped me to find a job at the Andra group in the DFW area. I went to college in Dallas and after receiving my masters I decided to go and work for herroom.com. The business is owned by one of the brightest females in the world and she is so passionate about her business that I was honored to work there and would highly recommend to anybody else who is interested in a job to apply or to let your recruiter...
