I worked at Andrew Marc (Less than a year)

    Pros

Autonomous atmosphere, in the sense that you can take the ball and run with it. In a sense, you aren't pigeon-holed into one specific role

    Cons

Management is all over the place! Everyday that you come into work, you constantly question what you should be working on and what your job responsibilities are!

    LONG HOURS. Overworked and underpaid!

I was hired as a sales assistant, and felt that I was doing everything BUT selling. My days consisted of sitting up at the receptionist desk pretty much five times a week to cover the receptionist during her lunch break. That was maybe the busiest that I was on any given day of the week!

    Advice to Management

Sit down and get your act together! Also, do not hire employees and promise them that they will have opportunity to grow and be challenged when you clearly can't keep your promise!

I have been working at Andrew Marc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people (for the most part) and you get a great employee discount.

    Cons

    You are overworked and underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Realize when you have good (and smart) people at your company and try to keep them around. I've seen a lot of great people go and that's unfortunate. Weed out the bad seeds.

I worked at Andrew Marc full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Only pro to this job was the great co-workers and employees.

    Cons

Poor quality product, no support from upper management yet all the blame when sales are down. Very unprofessional, DM threatening our jobs almost everyday, if you're not hitting the sales goals they will make up any excuse to fire you.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade your product and treat the employees with at least a little respect.

    Pros

    Discount
    Other employees
    Benefits
    Product

There really weren't many pros working for this company other than I had great employees and good benefits.

    Cons

Terrible communication with district managers. Micromanaged to the point where you need to call your DM to ask them if you can switch your schedule, if changes arise. No support from upper management. Complete unprofessionalism. Everyone is expendable and many times they go about firing employees in a way that can't be legal.

I worked at Andrew Marc part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The store discount was okay, like 20 percent, thats basically all

    Cons

Management was horrible! I felt like I was in high school with all the gossip and stealing of sales goals. Everyone was lazy ESPECIALLY management.VERY LOW PAY, too much work for chump change

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employees instead of trying to make the most money. Stop hiring immature assitant managers and get people with real experience and real passion for retail and not people who are just looking for a quick buck!
