I have been working at Angard Staffing part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Currently working as a casual mail sorter. Flexible hours are a plus, usually placed on a 5 or 8 hour shift. Work can involve heavy lifting and spending lots of time on your feet. Great for some temporary work to earn a bit of money or someone with other responsibilities. You may get to work at multiple sites as you're often called where extra staff are needed, so good opportunities to meet people.

    Cons

The shifts aren't consistent and usually contacted last minute without much notice, so can be challenging to plan your time. Pay scale dependant on how long you worked with the agency so don't expect much earnings initially. Sometimes it is hard to contact the agency to resolve issues regarding shifts or pay. One annoying thing is the agency will usually call using a private number, so you're never really sure if it's...

    Advice to Management

Make it easier to contact the agency and allow more notice for available shifts. Stop using a private number to contact staff too would be nice.

    Pros

Good pay, agency is helpful at times, friendly colleagues (some of them)

    Cons

Work can be difficult, no progression, managers don't care-they just want to meet their targets

I have been working at Angard Staffing for less than a year

    Pros

-Easy recruitment process (bring documents and copy answers from a booklet which they tell you to do) -Relaxed environment (barlely get bothered and can listen to music as you work) -Nice colleagues in which you will probably never see again after inital meet

    Cons

-Extremely bad communication (near to impossible to contact an Angard employee, I have been hanged up on from phone and ignored from emails)...this was just for asking general enquires mind you -Hidden policies which were not briefed at all such as having to go through vetting process if you get no shifts in 90 days and in my experience I was sent a booking via text, I called within the same minute and was confirmed...

    Pros

If you have small kids or second job it's maybe not bad. Payment per hour is good.

    Cons

Seasonal job After Christmas is very, very quiet

    Advice to Management

Not understandable why new people are being hired if there is not enough work.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Angard Staffing part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fellow workers, pay, long breaks. The kind of job that suits a student. Great if you like working at nights as it allows you do something else during the day.

    Cons

Irregular shifts. Rude shift coordinators. Zero hour contracts. Only good if you are a student or retired. Managers can sometimes be rude but to be honest they face so much pressure to

    Advice to Management

Treat your zero hour workers with respect

I have been working at Angard Staffing

    Pros

Good hourly pay rate after 12 weeks

    Cons

Other than Xmas you are lucky to get 10 hours work per month . Staff at Angard never answer e mails or the phone and when they do they are rude. Royal Mail staff never help casual staff and show them no respect.

    Advice to Management

Treat casual staff with some respect and offer training.

    I worked at Angard Staffing

    Pros

I've been trying to think of some but I don't think there are any. Ummm..Only a weeks notice needed to be given

    Cons

I have worked for Royal Mail directly casually before and had no complaints but angard are absolutely inept. I didn't receive any hours from them, which is fair enough it was a zero hours contract, so I wasn't banking on any. However when I found a permanent job I handed in my notice at angard and never received my P45, which meant I was charged extortionate rates of tax. Several emails have been sent and been ignored,...

I worked at Angard Staffing part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Wages, when not missed, are paid the week after. Colleagues can be obliging with comic relief, with some escape from the bile that defines a typical shift.

    Cons

    1) Discrimination and xenophobia is rife and championed by Angard Staff site consultants, and on the floor by RM managers. 2) No doubt, the perfect absolute zero hours contract regime- and slave master’s wet dream, with weeks on end without shifts, while a select few get spoilt for options. 3) Wages often don’t get processed, with responses to complaints and inquiries coming late when they do- and with dismissive and...
