I worked at Anglian Home Improvements part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I met some fantastic people whom I have made good friends with.
Very good hourly rate of pay.
    Good work/life balance
Being made redundant from my role in Customer Service did me a HUGE favour. Thank you Anglian 😊👍

    Cons

One or two of the managers are grumpy.
If your face fits and even if you're a wally brain, you'll go far at Anglian. Managers have minions or "yes" persons making their drinks and waiting on them hand and foot. Idiots. Grow a spine and gain some self-respect.

Poor customers. Customer Service in Norwich no longer exists. Customers who phone in are directed to their local installation depot for after sales service issues.
Some administrators there are grumpy, sarcastic and downright rude. Some are really lovely and deserve better treatment than they get. But that's Anglian.
The customer will be lucky just to get their phone call answered let alone deal with a grumpy person.
Good luck to the customers as I feel so sorry for them. Anyone with sense won't choose Anglian.
I would have given only one star but the hours fitted in perfectly with my home life and I have made some good friends so that deserves a star ⭐️

    Advice to Management

You don't care about customers after they've paid a LOT of money for Anglian products etc. Put more money time and staff into after sales customer service.
More service engineers are needed. In some regions only one or two cover the whole of an area. Means longer wait for service visit for customers. Field managers and service engineers work hard and long hours and there needs to be more staff tto deal with after sales issues in a reasonable timeframe. This area needs investment. Think customer and put them first as without them there will be no company and therefore no jobs.

I worked at Anglian Home Improvements full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Weekly pay
    - Unlimited earning potential
    - Good future prospects for progression
    - No experience necessary
    - Great first job to learn about sales/marketing

    Cons

    - Totally commission based
    - Wages were frequently wrong for myself and my canvassers
    - Bad customer service
    - Barely any support or training for team leaders
    - Poor payment structure
    - Poor incentives for canvassers
    - Expected to do a LOT of work within the office, which obviously you don't get paid for
    - Screwed out of a lot of money due to sales being registered under the wrong team

    Advice to Management

    - Revamp the payment structure
    - Put recruitment officers in place
    - Give more support and training
    - Improve customer service

I worked at Anglian Home Improvements (Less than a year)

    Pros

A good product, but certainly not the best in terms of cost.

    Cons

Poor internal management and systems, commission deducted without any reasons and then taking forever to be told why. I still haven't had anyone come back to me as to why hundreds of pounds have been deducted over a period of 6 months for no apparent reason. In the end it was cheaper not to work for them.
A lot of unqualified leads and misinformation.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the guys out in the field actually doing the work.

Former Employee - Temping In the Purchasing Department in Norwich, England (UK)

    Pros

    Not too stressfull.
No one really cared if I ate a snack or drank at my desk (not drank as in alcohol obviously!)
    Always something to do.
    The work was fairly easy.

    Cons

The office could have been cleaner.
The people were mainly very boring and unsociable.
Was expected to pick it up quite quickly, couldn't quite manage at first.
I only got feedback and told what they were not happy with as I was being sacked / moved on (it was a temp job) - when I could no longer do anything to change it!

    Advice to Management

Don't tell someone how they should have been better when they are about to leave. My particular boss was also very distant and barely spoke to me; could have been friendlier.
