    I worked at Anheuser-Busch full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Quality products. Global competitor. Industry leader. Concerned for environment. Opportunities if you are willing to relocate. Fast-paced environment.

    Cons

Employees and managers alike are stretched thin. Bonus targets typically don't get nailed down until mid-year, and are retroactive to the first of the year.

I worked at Anheuser-Busch as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, lots of opportunities for overtime, challenging experience, gets you a good understanding of how a cost-cutting giant corporation operates.

    Cons

Work life balance is slightly subpar, work is very fast paced, physically exerting and stressful. Lots of out of work events encourage team building, although the entire team is pushed to cover their butts all the time. Most of the team, even management, plays the blame game. People will note in meetings if your production slows, if you forget something, and they'll nitpick. Manager has an abrasive, snooty attitude. Ultimately the combination of everything makes for a bad work atmosphere and pushes you to not want to stay with the company, or even come to work.

    Advice to Management

Relax. The job is very challenging, and will lead to people getting stressed. Encourage team to look at the positives. Dont allow bad mouthing in the office, and promote positive attitudes. Be supportive! It's difficult to find a balance between challenging people and letting them relax, but having a relaxed, happy attitude is important to maximum productivity.

I have been working at Anheuser-Busch full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of great people and you will learn a lot while there. They now have a 16 week paid maternity.

    Cons

The highest up employees make decisions when they are guarded from the truth. You will have extreme amounts of stress and kill yourself during your time. Work life balance at an all time low. Expect at least 60 hours on a good week. It is one of those places that you get in - get your experience - and get out. Beer is not an emerging market. You barely make bonus. Salary is not nearly as competitive as it once was, and benefits decrease every year.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to truly invest in people and resources. We are spending more money expediting and rushing around all day long because we didn't plan for things correctly. You can do better and be better, the challenge is - will you step up and be the leader and do what is needed to succeed?

I have been working at Anheuser-Busch part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job is fast paced and the work is rewarding. The staff I managed was hard working and easy going.

    Cons

A lot of internal politics and one ups manship but that is to be expected in the corporate world I guess. The company is real slow to respond to issues that are brought up by those on the ground.

    Advice to Management

Need to do more to foster a team environment within management teams especially with shift based operations structure.

    I worked at Anheuser-Busch part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, weekly payment, prime starting time. Hubert made their whole employment process and experience worth while for an individual seeking part time employment.

    Cons

The communication between sales representatives and merchandisers was not the best. Size of orders placed by sales representatives would blind side merchandisers and extend the work days unexpectedly.

    Advice to Management

Create some type of system where size of orders will be made aware to merchandisers prior to performing their job. Limit the interaction between store managers and merchandisers especially since merchandisers are not employees of store managers.
