    Pros

Great innovative staff that works extremely hard to improve and grow. Manufacturing has greatly improved in the year I was there. They are really making an effort to make better processing choices. Genuinely seem to care about the well being of their staff personally for the most part. Production staff is fantastic, some of the hardest working people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Plant manager really is trying to make changes and it shows; definitely moving in a positive direction there. A lot of young and talented engineers that need mentors that can show them the right way. Great opportunities for training available.

    Cons

Management style is autocratic and there is a bit of micromanaging... which may be ok for some people but it was not something I was use to or respond well to. Unilateral decision making is demotivating to staff members...
Criticism of current project management procedures and SOPs is not well received. Hard working individuals not given the respect they deserve but that is in line with the directive autocratic management method that abounds in engineering and in other departments.
I've noticed that some of the more "colorful" previous reviews have been removed.. not surprised considering how well criticism is taken there.
Working conditions are sub par... no frills and getting basic needs fulfilled is challenging. Benefits need a great improvement, not even remotely competitive with today's market.

    Advice to Management

Take a step back... look at what you have and try to improve that. Basics need a lot of attention... learn to crawl before you walk and run.

I have been working at Anholt Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of great people to work with, Possibility of learning IF you get a decent trainer, Possibility to learn other departments

    Cons

Buildings are filthy, not climate controlled, and are not functional; raises are very poor, you only get a yearly raise and its not merit or review based; there is no opportunity for advancement; management is not supportive and are very sneaky with decisions; new bonus system is a joke since "everyone gets the same payout" everyone is penalized for other departments screw ups; employee well being is not something that management cares about as long as product is being pushed out of the doors; there is no set Quality Standard; GMP is nonexistent; trainings are hard to come by; due to the lack of management that is actually on the floor, some employees are allowed to get away with doing little or no work at all and there is a lot of tension between departments/shifts; during winter and summer, be prepared to either freeze or suffer from heat exhaustion and dehydration; the facility isn't on a sewer line so the sewage has to get pumped out and the smell makes you sick since it is done right outside of on of the main buildings, yes I said buildings but they are actually 3 pole barns, 3 trailers, and 1 house

    Advice to Management

Be upfront with current and prospective employees, don't lie about 90 day reviews and the raises that are supposed to accompany them. Treat your employees with more respect and include them in decisions that will affect their working environments because YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE OUT THERE! Please give better raises and make opportunities for advancement for your good workers. Stop holding on to people that don't do their fair share, it's a waste of your money. Reward your hard workers and stop piling so much on them, they are human not superheroes. Supervisors need to stand up for their teams instead of leaving them out to dry. And when you cross train your employees, pay them for that.

P.S. A "Thank You" here and there really goes a long way.

    Pros

Working with a lot of nice people and a good opportunity to learn about carbon fiber design and manufacturing

    Cons

Very high turnover and very few opportunities for growth or advancement. Don't come here to advance your career.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your employees and show greater trust in their abilities

I worked at Anholt Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting products that have the potential for positive impact on patients life. Carbon fiber technology offers unique manufacturing challenges that create an ever changing workplace.

    Cons

The senior leadership team is very outdated in their style and approach. Rather than share information and knowledge they are extremely secretive. If you are not one of the few in the inner circle your opinion does not matter and there is no job security. Engineer turnover is extremely high for the industry.

    Advice to Management

The modern workforce wil not accept your leadership methods. As the job market opens up you are going to have high turnover as more desirable jobs become available. The owners should find outside leadership and limit their involvement.

I have been working at Anholt Technologies full-time

    Pros

Very good, if uneducated, workforce that, for the most part, care about their job.

    Cons

Horrible treatment, leaky roof, basically an outside job in some depts. Ignore basic ISO, FDA and OSHA rules on a daily basis and then hide everything during audits. High turnover and cheap resale parts imported from China contribute to the poor quality of most outgoing products.

    Advice to Management

Treat people like you would like to be treated. More training by engineering before letting employees make product.

    Pros

A very good place to work for someone just starting out in their field. You can learn quite a bit from some of the long timers.

    Cons

There is no structure. Too many hands in the cookie jar. Raises are horrible. 10 cents in the basic raise for shop workers.

    Advice to Management

You have quite a bit to learn about thanking your employees. You should give better incentives. There is some upper management that don't belong at the company. You need to restructure the management at Anholt.

    Pros

The people are nice. The middle managers are really trying to improve the company and employee conditions. They do provide some training for employees.

    Cons

Owners are "hands on" on everything, nothing can get done without their approval. The facility is a joke, people are woking in house trailers and parking in a muddy field.
The lack of communication hinders peoples job performance.

    Advice to Management

Get a building and a parking lot. Get some sort of inter office calender system to help on communication. Pay the shop workers better and give a few more holidays.
