    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Animal Health International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Most co-workers were kind and ready to help, because of lack of management on site.

    Cons

Manager not available for help on issues. Management plays favorites on scheduling and time off. Employees are monitored by camera, as there is no management trust

    Advice to Management

Manager needs to be present more. Manager needs to have more faith in employees instead of relying on cameras and fake phone calls to see how office is running. Perhaps if there was more hands on experience, employee moral and loyalty would be better.

I worked at Animal Health International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

No weekends, major holidays off, adequate PTO, full benefits offered, employee stock offered, recently acquired by Patterson Companies, flexible with "life" situations such as doctors appointments, etc.

    Cons

Management is lacking leadership skills, company has very little organization and infrastructure, warehouse makes a lot of mistakes, pay is low, benefits are expensive, long hours, pricing system often has faults, employees openly gossip, management does not "manage".

    Advice to Management

Manage and value your employees. Be open to offering help and advice.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Animal Health International full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Animal health industry, enjoyed speaking to veterinarians and techs on a daily basis.

    Cons

Management, pay, overall company structure. The merger between Lextron and Walco was not ideal. Many people lost jobs or had their pay cut to a point where they were forced out.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your sales reps.

I worked at Animal Health International full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Health Insurance, close to home, overworked manager helped when she could

    Cons

I was hired for my Equine knowledge and they placed me in an 80% dairy territory. I was up for the challange but could not meet their unrealistic expectations in a very short time. Very poor training and lack of support from management and fellow co workers. Their SAP software is beyond ridiculious. I was taking over territory from a long time employee who was impatient, hostile, did not want to give up her... accounts.Plus she was offsite in the mid west. Terrible environment and poor managment.

    Advice to Management

The immediate supervisor of the call center had way too many responsibilities on her shoulders. Seemed to me that some of her workload coulld of been delegated to her manager.
