I worked at Anixter Fasteners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    There are no positives run!

    Cons

Started July 2011 after first week I realized I was nothing more than a data entry specialist. I internally applied for a position in Wood Dale after 3 months in the fasteners division. I had my manager actually ask if I was running from her. I gave the politically correct response. The true answer was yes I ran the hell out of fasteners. In the one year I worked at Anixter over 25 co-workers in the fasteners quit. Worst company ever, don't even think about applying. I would rather be unemployed then working at Anixter. The managers defiantly have their little favorite click, if your not in it don't worry you won't survive.

    Advice to Management

    Fire all supervisors.

I worked at Anixter Fasteners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -good entry level buyer position

    Cons

-you have to be best friends with management to get good lines & recognition
-management & supervisors act like they care, but very evident they only help a select few
-dept is like high school, all you hear is gossip
-they only share info with their favorites

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone fairly. The morel is so low there. It is a company that defines what revolving door means. In my time there, over 15 people quit.

    Pros

    - Some of the folks that you work with are all class and definitely very helpful but not many.
    - Nice office

    Cons

    - Gross incompetent middle to director level employees. Projects will have numerous changes with no thought, other than to create more work for the grunts (low paying employees).
    - Low paying wages for those willing to take the risk and work.
    - Lack of communication throughout teams with no oversight
    - Tight deadlines with no rhythm or reason

    Advice to Management

No advice, that's your job (management).
