I worked at Ann Taylor full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I loved working for the Loft. I learned and grew as a person and a manager. It was always challenging and fun. I was also lucky to be able to work on special projects, store openings, and employee training. The people were also so amazing!

    Cons

I don't feel there were many cons but if I had to say anything it would be that sometimes I felt held back because there either wasn't an open position for me to move up to or my upper management wouldn't want me to move on since I was an asset to them. But I also was there for 13 years so that could be inevitable at some point.

    Advice to Management

Overall, a great place to work and make a career with! Thank you for a great 13 years together!

I worked at Ann Taylor as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

When you intern at ANN INC. they really care to give you a holistic learning experience. You are taken on field trips and sit in on talks from industry executives. You are also treated as an entry level employee as opposed to an intern which is a fantastic experience. Their company culture is one of the best I have ever seen. I could not recommend this internship enough!

    Cons

    I cannot think of one!

    Pros

Woman empowerment, focuses on uplifting all women, open door policy.

the instagram page connected to new hires, feature all people of white race, theres absolutely no diversity within this company. They treated me, and other associates of color as secondary citizens. All tho we are all qualifies to work here, there always unfair treatment

    Advice to Management

understand, that your consumer are people of color, and associates of your company are a well.

I worked at Ann Taylor full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overall company not bad: some perks, nice events (such as holiday parties), outwardly friendly staff, good structure overall. During my time there the top management was very upbeat and fun.

    Cons

Outdated computer system, Deceptive, unethical, overly critical management (Ann Taylor sweaters Tech Design department specifically, at least while I was there). This team would scapegoat any problems with the department on lower level staff, while Senior Tech Designer would come in late regularly and surf the internet, then complain about working late hours. Also, somewhat cliquish environment with some Divas. Though the company talks about work/life balance, expect regular long hours.

    Advice to Management

There is a serious problem with how the Ann Taylor Sweaters Technical Design Team was managed (at least from 2012-2014.) Very unethical and deceptive practices taking place that hurt the company as a whole!

I worked at Ann Taylor part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very friendly staff, no commission meant a less hostile environment, everyone reached out to help me during my first few weeks

    Cons

No cons - it was and is a wonderful first job, and I am happy to return as a seasonal worker in between my college semesters.

    Advice to Management

Continue to give employees incentive to reach their sales goals, it increases associate satisfaction and creates a constant drive to want to do well for the company and for ourselves
