      My least favorite hospital

      Pros

Provides care for high acuity pediatric patients. If you are local to Chicago, I understand why you would work here but I moved for this job and would not recommend others do the same

      Cons

Having worked at other large pediatric hospitals I was shocked at the disorganization by management and favoritism of nurses. It created an extremely hostile and unpleasant work environment. Manager spoke to me in the time I worked here. When I left, I was encouraged not to fill out exit interview and to give verbal feedback to the unit instead. In addition, HR did not properly end my employment and it took several stressful weeks to receive my full pay after leaving.

      Bad experience

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Very little, except that they help sick children.

      Cons

Benefit program isn’t great. Insurance is high and PTO is awful. Your PTO has to cover vacation, sick time or scheduled holidays when the office is closed. If you want to be micromanaged, work on the corporate side, Legal in particular. Stressful work environment and there is a lack of fairness and poor management.
