I worked at Anne Arundel Community College part-time

    Pros

Everyone wants a job here. The wage increases, benefits, and room for advancement are good.

    Cons

They often hire/promote from within, and they get soooo many apps per opening, that it's nearly impossible to get hired.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

NOTHING POSITIVE TO SAY AT ALL

    Cons

Management needs to be more courteous to the students. Some employees hate dealing with the students. They obviously don't understand that is their job. Some Of upper management make fun of the students. The pay is not even worth applying for a job at this college.

    Advice to Management

be more polite to your employees and your students. Without student enrollment and attendance remember you would not have a job

I have been working at Anne Arundel Community College full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great boss, nice salary and benefits

    Cons

Poor upper management styles, so much emphasis on student success that faculty are forced to compromise values

    Advice to Management

Apply same rules to all students, raise admission standards for govt. regulated programs to remain competitive.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

No pros at this place, I would rate an absolute 0 of it were an option with the exception of the benefits. Just horrible!

    Cons

Everything, everyone is out for themselves. If they have the opportunity to throw you under a bus they will, they then act like everything is okay.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to your support staff, I gave 6 years of my life to this place and then thrown out like a piece of trash. Investigate claims of individuals not doing something instead of taking the word of one individual and running with it.
