      I worked at Anomaly full-time

      Pros

Great culture Cool, relaxed office Lots of really smart people Great model, do some things differently

      Cons

Don't take care of or foster younger talent Work/Life Balance non-existent, but that's advertising Lack of professional development opportunities or funding Nepotism

      Advice to Management

You're losing a lot of great young talent because you're either overworking them or underworked them. Find a balance, take a chance and throw some briefs to the creatives who aren't necessarily your favorites. Develop better and stronger professional development options.

      I worked at Anomaly full-time

      Pros

Fun and creative environment for the most part (although hectic). The people are smart, exuberant and like to have a good time.

      Cons

Work life balance does not exist at all, late nights are expected so forget about making plans socially. Project management and creative resourcing is also a huge issue, people are always over capacity.

      I worked at Anomaly

      Pros

great people, high profile clients, creative shop, cool soho location

      Cons

Often runs "like a slave ship" (direct quote from Carl johnson CEO) so work life balance sucks. Standard operating procedure is that they DO NOT give raises ever unless you threaten to quit b/c you have a better offer.

I have been working at Anomaly full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Great work culture People are mostly very nice The whole agency has a real focus on producing excellent creative Fantastic creative teams & amazing strategy

      Cons

No real work/life balance Secretly very hierarchical, despite pretending to be very democratized. Senior people have big egos Need more mentorship opportunities & make clear opportunities on other brands/accounts/departments

      Advice to Management

The agency is secretly very hierarchical, despite pretending to be very democratized. It's easy to listen to only the pros about the agency, but management needs to also stay cognizant of how to improve rather than just patting themselves on the back.

      I worked at Anomaly full-time

      Pros

Met some incredible, talented people during my time there. Great client roster. Good perks- parties, drinks, activities.

      Cons

Unapproachable upper management. If you're not "cool" or part of the church, you'll get little respect or recognition. Poor work life balance.

      Advice to Management

Acknowledge people. Make eye contact when they're speaking to you. People work tirelessly every day to fulfill the client's and company's vision and deserve to be treated with more respect. You're going to keep missing out on a lot of great ideas by not giving certain people the time of day.

I have been working at Anomaly full-time for less than a year

      Pros

There are a lot of smart, hard-working people here. Very difficult to be bored because there is a ton of work to go around. Creatives get a decent amount of autonomy and control. They're always looking for more creative, non-traditional solutions. There's an open bar in the office, 24/7. They'll feed you lunch once and a while, and the kitchen is generally stocked with snacks/coffee. The office is in a great location,...

      Cons

Terrible work-life balance -worse than the 9 other agencies I've been at. If you leave before 6pm, people in the office look at you strangely. Most weeks, creatives will stay two or three nights till 8pm. One or two nights till 10 or later (sometimes till 3am or something). In general, the communication and workflow is all over the place. Guidance by the account folks and CDs...

      Advice to Management

Communicate better. Let people go home and sleep -they're human.
