    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Ansaldo Energia full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great medical and dental benefits. Promotions come with decent pay raises. Bonus paid every year You learn a lot in a little amount of time. Travel if you want to

    Cons

New hires only get 2 weeks vacation. Management received large retention bonus in 2016 and mean while workers had no raises. On board process is weak. Sink or swim. Baden, Switzerland (formerly Alstom Energie) still thinks they are in charge.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to be an OEM, the entrepreneur spirt is what made the company (formerly PSM) great. Concentrate on operations instead of travel to Italy. Stuck between a rock and hard place; being an OEM means your expensive and slow, mom and pop shop is in experience but cheap.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Ansaldo Energia full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Lunch-card (120chf/month sponsored by company), autonomy and flexibility

    Cons

No will to change and adapt to market situation, management is completely detached from employees who are left alone with trying to solve all company issues, people are not valued and therefore not taken care of, they feel left alone. No sense of belonging, employees are depressed and demotivated, many resignations every month and loss of experience. Clear lack of leadership and very bad communication.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, they will take care of your business and customers. Stop micromanaging.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Ansaldo Energia full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

No pressure, or tight deadlines. You feel like a public employee.

    Cons

No career. No opportunities. No training. Old-school management. Same mentality that flushed Alstom down the drain. Favoritism. Salaries that are in direct contradiction to skills, no raises, no bonuses, no promotions. Terrible IT infrastructure. Very slow integration with headquarters in Genoa. Secret plan to push employees to resign, to avoid the public cost of lay-offs: 89 employees left in the last year!

    Advice to Management

Do the company a favor and look for another job, this time avoiding managerial positions.
