I worked at Antares Pharma (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting products. Too bad they make them for people who can't get approvals...

    Cons

Hideous leadership focus and management style. The inter-office backstabbing and passive-aggressive behavior is legendary. Whoever lies first wins the argument, especially if they lie to HR.

    Pros

Benefits are decent and some office snacks. A lot of people do get promoted, but in general they have to be kowtowing to management.

    Cons

Most of the employees don't contribute. There are only a handful of employees who perform and they carry the rest of the company. The company is very small (<30), therefore that placed a large amount of strain on the ones who do the work. Employees can be drunk or sleep during the workday and management turns a blind eye and never remedies the issues which have lasted for multiple years. Many bad business and product decisions and a large portion of senior management have abandoned ship. The company does not appear stable long term. Paul Wotton has been succeeded as CEO by two other CEOs since June 2014.

    Advice to Management

It is not as though management would heed any advice given here, but Stop hiring and promoting friends, hold employees accountable and stop giving all of the work to the same small group of people while letting the others do nothing. And stop lying about the state of the company.

I have been working at Antares Pharma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Rheumatologist are a great group of physicians to call on. Taking part in launching a new drug is very exciting. Selling a device auto injector is innovative in this market place.

    Cons

Managed care is a nightmare. Territory is way too large. Driving 3,000 miles a month. The company is very missed managed. Everything is reactive and not proactive.

    Advice to Management

Please get organized and help with managed care. You have over priced this product from the start. You never listen to the field when making changes. This company had great potential!

    Cons

CEO/Corporate Execs made terrible decisions on pricing the product and getting on managed care plans. It has terrible coverage.
