I worked at Antech Diagnotics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its a fast paced work experience and you learn the ins and outs of the veterinary laboratory/biology part of the world.

    Cons

They do not tend to allow much chance for advancement in the company, and when they do it is with very poor training and then you are left to your own devices. Very few rewards for those who do the hard work and are dedicated to the company and their standards.

    Pros

Good people to work with, decent benefits and pay.

    Cons

Shifting night hours making it hard to maintain a life outside of sleep and work. Very tedious and mindless work.

    Pros

    Friendly management and staff
    Lots of overtime available
    Decent pay for entry-level job

    Cons

Graveyard shift so not much opportunity for work/life balance.
Little training involved. You really learn on the job but still expected to reach hourly quota.

I worked at Antech Diagnotics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The pay was pretty good.

    Cons

This was the most dysfunctional and unprofessional environment I have ever had the misfortune to work in. Integrity is completely non-existant. I was expected to figure out the responsibilities and how to perform them on my own and was criticized at every turn. I worked there for 9 months without a single word of encouragement uttered in my direction.

    Advice to Management

There are some core values that I found to be missing at Antech. Most strikingly integrity, honesty and respect. Train your new employees instead of watching them struggle to figure out the job on their own and then criticizing them along the way.

I worked at Antech Diagnotics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you need work experience this place will give you that experience. The staff seem great, and many people have worked here for six months to a year, then left to better paying positions or Antech competitor.

    Cons

The supervisor's and lead's passive/aggressive behavior toward staff. Also, the lack of training some receive is amazing. Be expected to be thrown in even when you state that you are not ready. The supervisor/lead is very unprofessional, and they make work conditions hard. They have a revolving door of people quitting and it has to do with the supervisor's/lead's behavior. Employees have talked about racism being a key factor when it comes to the supervisor/lead determining who gets higher pay or higher job opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Your company is only as good as the people you trust with the day-to-day management of it. I would suggest that whoever owns the company goes undercover boss while it's during busy season. They will have an eye opening experience!

    Pros

    The people there are nice
It's a relaxed environment and as long as you get your work done the bosses are ok with you listening to music
    The environment is professional

    Cons

    Overnight shifts
Have to work every saturday and every other sunday

I worked at Antech Diagnotics full-time

    Pros

Entrepreneurial, non-bureaucratic, fast-moving, friendly DVMs on staff

    Cons

Leadership, senior management way too lean/stretched, little to no marketing

    Advice to Management

Professional management and a little bit of rigor around executive decision making and corporate processes will go a long way - acquisition by Mars will probably bring the company to the next level and create great opportunities.
