    Pros

the discount was great, especially on clothes but also including home and accessories. some of the managers were very supportive and maintained a professional yet appropriately casual demeanor

    Cons

minimum wage, but expected for entry level retail. often a very catty environment, managers vs. associates, no explanation of what the sales numbers mean, lots of wait time before being trained to do things that would seem basic to the job, such as using a register. theft was a huge concern at my store, both by customers and supposedly employees. constant talk about dishonesty created a very distrustful work environment. the stress of kissing customers' feet wasn't worth the measly pay and limited opportunities for growth

    Pros

The environment is inspiring, the displays are intriguing, management can be helpful if you ask for exactly what you want

    Cons

I wish I had read some of the reviews before accepting this position. The role itself is not what it seems, you are pushed to work long and arduous hours with little to no recognition. The poor 'visual' sales associates are also just glorified part timers who rarely get to work on visuals. The customer is rude and angry and will complain about EVERYTHING. Even the 'regulars' apparently hate it there but keep coming back. They will abuse you and then management will side with the customer. That is no way to support your staff. Gossip like communication reigns through management and even long term associates. Poor pay and worse treatment is the biggest reason I took almost anything I could to not work here anymore. There are some supportive staff members willing to listen but at the end of the day if your not one of the cool kids forget about enjoying your job.
