I worked at Anytime Fitness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Upbeat company, in 2014 was #1 Franchisee in the world, great people

    Cons

AF Corporate continues to bury their heads in the sand to low cost competitors i.e. Planet Fitness $10/mo memberships

    Advice to Management

Address low cost competitor(s) - need different strategies in these markets - franchisees going out of business left and right losing everything

    Pros

National Brand awareness, good staff, very structured business

    Cons

Not honest with the franchisees about costs, they will sell any territory despite the costs of the rents, not honest with the income, deceitful practices in management, legal issues for anyone who challenges them. Stay away from this company-- you will regret it
