I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Awesome benefits, flexible hours, work from home, great people to work with - that i cannot stress enough. Working with people you like makes a huge difference.

    Cons

A lot of work! over the years they've laid off people and made the organization a little too lean. It causes everyone to do more work and work unnecessary additional hours.

    Cons

Very limited movement, lateral or otherwise
    Non-competitive pay
    Limited work-life balance
Management made non-sensical decisions with little employee input
Too much focus on outside factors and not the employees

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good teammates, many talented colleagues, fair work/life balance, ability to work virtual, exposure to many facets of finance, high degree of accountability.

    Cons

Company constantly changing from mergers/sales, not a lot of opportunity to move into new areas, to many hoops to jump through to drive changes.

    Advice to Management

Have faith in your talent. Building effective teams should always be focus. Encourage all parts of business to share and work together.

    Pros

Coming out of college I learned a lot from this job. Was able to obtain a lot of skills and experience.

    Cons

This job requires long hours and is not really a good place if you are looking for a work life balance.

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you only look out for yourself and don't share info you'll prosper.

    Cons

Too big to respond well to ever changing executive decisions. New hires stumble with little guidance. Technology can't keep up with executive changes. Success for the few that look good and do little.

    Advice to Management

Pause on trying to keep chasing the increase in share prices before you destroy the company. And Alight? Name and co colors look like a bumble bee club.

I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Company paid training and licensure.
Licensing and Certification team to make sure you are complient.
Benefits: Health Insurance, 401K with match, Vacation days.

    Cons

Low Base and Very Low Commissions.
You are treated much more like a CSR: Avg. Handle Time, Adhearence (tracking that your phone line is in available status to accept in-bound calls) and Quality metrics that have to be met.
You do not have full control over your appointments and schedule. During AEP, the allowed time to complete an appointment is unrealistic.

    Advice to Management

More sales training with call samples of one-call-close appointments that still met the 35 min. expectation for the allotted appointment time.

    Advice to Management

    Become more nimble.
