I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

With the right manager, you could have a good work/life balance.

    Cons

The company focuses more on quantity and not on quality. Some managers prefer to "hide" processes from a client to be able to make client think they are being managed within the agreed contract which borders ethic line.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent in hiring processes and management of colleagues. You lose creditability when team observes one person being treated differently under same circumstances as another person.

I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They used to have free lunch and breakfast but not any more. The walk around the lake at lunch was nice.

    Cons

You could be a teacher and get paid more. They changed the benefits but didn't change the pay scale. If you were on the healthcare side you worked insane hours during open enrollment.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people or get acquired....oh, wait....never mind.

I worked at Aon Hewitt as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you are looking for a real internship with hands on experience and no fetching coffee then Aon is the right place for you.

    Cons

The hourly rate is on the low side but the workload is worth the pay and varies from team to team.

    Pros

The environment is nice. The salary is competitive. They are always looking for people especially in customer service. They are constantly advertising for positions.

    Cons

They have very bad managers. The trainers need training themselves. They are not subject matter expert and not supportive at all!!! I don't think anyone stays with them long, as a result always needing to fill positions.

    Advice to Management

Be supportive, have understanding, knowledgeable trainers. Management should micro manage the trainers. When the trainers are being observed, they are at their best but when out of sight the just skim through the materials. Their aim just getting through the course fast.

    Pros

Annual enrollment training last four weeks and there is a lot of support when you need help answering customers' questions.

    Cons

After Annual Enrollment ends then Human Resources training begins and there is a lot more scrutiny of your work.

    Advice to Management

After Annual Enrollment ends you should make your call scoring or grading standards a little easier.

    Pros

The pros aren't many, it's call center work. Easy hire, easy to learn systems, café is convenient, sups leave you to fly on your own, which may be difficult for those slower to learn.

    Cons

Cons are not too many either it was temp work, I would say obtaining a permanent position and also the location
