I worked at Apache full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Nothing good about them anymore.

    Cons

Buddy system. Bunch of kiss ups got to be supervisors. They want that in return. Can't trust anyone. They will screw you over especially if it will make them look good. No loyalty. All about themselves. I could go on and on. Had to give them one star because it wouldn't take 0 stars.

    Advice to Management

Clue in. The little man is what makes the company money.

    Pros

Great (new) management, colleagues, and benefits.

    Cons

Some departments burn the midnight oil, but that's the nature of the biz.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

    Good money
    Good roster
    Friendly Atmosphere
Great site, more to do here then most places after work, beautiful place to work, love the food and wet mess

    Cons

Site politics can be bad, cut back on maintenance worries alot of people onsite, some people in roles they shouldn't

    Advice to Management

Create a system to management internal conflicts, need a better safety system, the safetymate books are a bit stupid, could be better, the quota mentality means people just make stuff up just to ensure they dont fall behind their pdr

I have been working at Apache full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-The PEOPLE at Apache is what makes it worth coming in every day. The team I work on is full of great people overall.
-Work / Life balance is perfect. People here all have families and are understanding. We work hard to get things done when they need to be and have fun when there's downtime.
-The work can be challenging at times, mostly when you decide to go out of your comfort zone and really apply yourself to projects
-Compensation is great: Base salary (very competitive), cash bonus, equity at all levels, big 401k match, FSAs, quality insurance, and a pension-style retirement contribution

    Cons

-Sometimes we can get bogged down with meetings and inefficiencies, however that should be changing as management has really embraced an attitude of change around here (hired consultants to lend an unbiased eye too).
-Upward mobility can be stale sometimes but this is typical in any industry job, you just want to wait your turn because there's a lot of people above you with a lot more experience and they don't have to leave. Sticking it out pays off.

    Advice to Management

Keep embracing change and efficiency improvements, we're on the right track.

I have been working at Apache full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits, fairly competitive salary, good people.

    Cons

Poor management, knee-jerk reactions, lack of direction, constant reorganizations.

    Advice to Management

Determine a path and stick with it. Non-stop reorganizations don't help anyone.

I worked at Apache full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have really good people that are very loyal and smart. The employees are paid well if you work in a prestige area

    Cons

Apache employees are misused, abused and disrespected by management at all levels. Unless you are willing to live your entire life for Apache you are not valued. They have no follow thru on initiatives to improve employee satisfaction. So many of them just faded into obscurity, once again proving how little they value their employees

    Advice to Management

You need to sell to a company that knows how to treat employees and then you would have a winning combination of great employees, work ethic, and employee satisfaction.
