    Pros

    Cons

Some "big corporate" procedures and feelings, despite being a 'minor' E&P company it has the feeling of a 'major'

I have been working at Apache full-time

    Pros

Excellent place to start a career at, as they run lean so rely on young people for actual useful work.

    Cons

Sometimes communication could be better from upper management but overall it's not that bad.

    Advice to Management

Trusting people to make key decisions takes guts and a huge leap of faith, but eventually one has to do it or risk undermining the team atmosphere they've worked so hard to build.

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Apache (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Are you degreed?
Do you want to work for a CIO that “hates technology”?
    Are you attractive?
Do you know how to mingle?
Do you want to work for management that doesn’t support you?
    Are you superficial?
Do you lack actual IT skills, but wear stylish socks?
Do you want to work for a CIO that has never led an IT department, but is a college buddy of the CEO?
Do you want to work at a company that hasn’t given us a raise in two years?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, then Apache’s IT department is for you.

    Cons

Can't think of any because Apache is a great company and there are so many people that look good. I'm not sure they will make their goal of wanting people to work at Apache IT instead of Anadarko IT. Currently Anadarko is still beating them.

    Advice to Management

Amazing job on building a great team!! Raymond Plank would be so proud of where you have taken the company. Best of luck!

I worked at Apache full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company had great benefits and paid well, and tried to ensure that good talent would stay.

    Cons

Sold assets and made every effort to go out of their way to make sure they came out ahead not the employee.
