My honest opinion of a job I needed
May 10, 2023 - Assistant Property Manager in Salt Lake City, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you are part of the “cool cliques”you’re in. I honestly didn’t meet many people that I didn’t enjoy working with. Christmas party was always a fun time. There is a lot of talent and most management will have your back. They absolutely promote from within
Cons
Work life balance, capped commissions. Sink or swim culture(but noted some training improvements towards the end of working! ) I know way too much about other people’s personal information— Managers should be expected to keep the gossip to a minimum but seemed to fan the flame, in my opinion. Pay rates are all over the place . Systems culture gaps kind of all over..

Great Money depending on the property you apply for!
Apr 26, 2023 - Leasing Agent in Salt Lake City, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Commissions, but they're capped. Great co-workers. Company events, team events, property events.
Cons
Advancement and promotion isn't always based on experience or how good you are at your job. From personal experience it's more based on favoritism and who management is more keen of, regardless of having great relationships with residents.

AMC is helping out the less fortunate and that’s what made me want to work there.
Cons
I can’t speak for the whole company but they could be more organized on behalf of the residents

Good salary, great employee recognition, friendly corporate office
Cons
hard to move up when you want to

Pros
Excellent opportunity for growth, especially if you are a self starter.
Cons
The worst training. You rely heavily on Gracehill lessons. One hand NEVER knows what the other is doing, and getting a straight answer out of anyone is impossible. Good luck if you are new to the position or its's an acquisition in a newer market. You are expected to know your position, regardless if you are new, and whatever you do; do not ask upper management/corporate for help. You will be left on read. You will, however, have to answer for why you didnt know what you didn't know. So, have fun with that. If you are not a self starter, cannot work without direction, or are not a goal oriented and very focused individual, this is NOT the company for you.
Continue readingOh no! We are super sad to see a 2-star review rating and are sorry your experience has not been better. We offer numerous training opportunities outside of Gracehill, so we are sorry to hear you have not been made aware of them. Every month, we send out a training calendar via email, which includes live training for RMIS, RLL, Online Presence, Google, AIM, and many more! If you are not receiving these emails please let us know. Some training classes can even be set up to fit your schedule. We recommend speaking with your regional about your concerns so they know how you feel and can start working to address any concerns. Thank you for leaving us a review.

Amazing job!
Dec 6, 2022 - Sales and Leasing Agent in Salt Lake City, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The pay and commissions are really good, all the paid holidays and paid days off and employee events are amazing.
Cons
The requirement to have an applicant from application to lease signed in 48hrs is a lot, especially since we have a holding fee. Either relax the time requirements or get rid of the holding fee.

We invite you to talk with your manager or regional manager about your concerns so they can provide additional training or help find better alternatives to these situations. We are grateful to have you on the team, and love being able to provide holiday and great PTO to our team members, so we are happy to hear you love it, too.

Pros
Good work Enviromint with the ability to help other locations when needed. I was given the latitude to make decisions without supervision. We completed many special projects giving us a verity of different work and challenges. I was treated well when I had cancer IE time off.
Cons
It takes a long time to hire a new employee. Many times there was a disconnect during the process and the new hire would fill another position elsewhere, When new employees were hired no time was taken to introduce the new hire to the rest of the onsite staff. The work load was to large due to the lack of skilled help.

We sure hope you are doing well these days and appreciate you sharing your experience! So many businesses within many industries have been hit with a team member shortage in the country, and we were one of the many. We have been working diligently behind the scenes to help find team members, so rest assured we are working on this. One wonderful incentive is that we offer sign-on bonuses in many regions, and if team members refer someone who is hired they are eligible for a bonus, too! As reviews on this platform are anonymous we would like to invite you to speak with the regional that is assigned to your community and share your concerns & ideas with them so we can ensure all the meetings and assistance that is needed at your community is being received. Thank you!

Pros
Great pay, great benefits. Large company so there is room for advancement. I also LOVE how AMC promotes people quickly if they see the potential, you possess, unlike other companies that will hold you back 2-3 years (or longer) before being promoted.
Cons
I have to say my least favorite thing about the AMC would have to be the training. This is the first company I have worked for that does not have and actual face-to-face training class. I think AMC would be that much better, if they had an actual class instead of webinar or virtual classes, I feel like new hires would feel mor comfortable, and turnover would not be as high. This is the one complaint I hear most often.

Thank you for sharing your talents with us for the last 3+ years! Time sure goes by quickly!! Promoting from within will be something we always look forward to, so thank you for recognizing that! AMC does offer in-person trainings, but we had to take a break due to covid restrictions and different state gathering restrictions. However, most of those have been lifted at this point and in-person meetings are welcomed. We invite you to talk with your regional manager, as reviews on this platform are confidential, so it will be difficult for us to reach out to you. Thank you!
