  • Health insurance benefits are expensive but I guess it's a good thing that they at least offer it (in 22 reviews)

Great company. They really work to get you placed in new gigs fast. The pay is above average.

Some of the account managers are not as supportive of the consultants and are more focused on the client even if the situation doesn't warrant it.

I have been working at Apex Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Staff is responsive
    - They treat you well
    - They did negotiate when I was joining
    - Good clients

    Cons

    - They keep 37% of what the client pays them
    - No career progression

    Advice to Management

Talk to good vendors what opportunities you might have for them and if this can be a career company for them. People see it as interm or just to make a few bucks in the meanwhile type of arrangement

I have been working at Apex Systems (More than a year)

    Pros

Apex is awesome about staying in contact with you. They alway make your happy with your placement. When my contract ended with one company it only took a week to find me a new contract and I was working collecting a paycheck in a total of three weeks my unemployment hadn't even really even kicked in yet.

    Cons

Co cons I was happy with both contract placements.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing showing you contracts love!

    Pros

Decent pay. Occasional events which are nice. This isn't the same across the company though. I work on an abnormal contract

    Cons

No benefits to speak of, obvious shifty staffing company practices. No incentives to stay on the team.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees right.

I worked at Apex Systems full-time

    Pros

Great culture, strong training programs, established company & clients.

    Cons

I noticed a wide variety in office culture and standards from office to office. I worked in Bellevue and would highly recommend that office as a place to start your recruiting career, but there are others I would not. Also, inequality in commission structures between recruiters & account managers with less career growth opportunities as a recruiter.

    Pros

    Direct Deposit
    Travel Reimbursements are Quick
    Tool Reimbursement
    Friendly Representatives and Support Staff
Willing to fix conflicts when they arise
    Travel and Entertainment Discounts

    Cons

E-Mail responses are most of the time sluggish or no response
When calling their office, their employees WILL screen your calls if they don't like you
Pay is non-negotiable and needs to be fixed
No after-hours support if you are traveling - HUGE ISSUE
Reimbursement policy and procedures are flaky

    Advice to Management

Make your reps/staff be more responsive and allow employees to negotiate their wages. Provide an after-hours support method for traveling contractors.
