    Pros

Great vacation time and benefits. Wonderful people to work with. Depending on dept there are some opportunities to telecommute. Employees are dedicated to the company's mission.

    Cons

Pay is under benchmark. No transparency; no one ever knows what is going on with the company. Lots of favoritism from management and management can really make or break your experience there. Very hard to get hired internally in any department. CEO should have been removed some time ago.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees - they are on the front lines and see the day-to-day operations. Stop the nepotism and hiring your friends whom aren't qualified. Offer more competitive pay and don't just say you're invested in your employees careers, actually walk the walk.

I have been working at Apollo Education Group full-time

    Pros

Befits are decent, some departments are self sufficient

    Advice to Management

    Abandon the sinking ship

I worked at Apollo Education Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good team of peers. Depending on Manager and Director, could be a healthy environment.

    Cons

Usually not healthy place to stay too log. Longevity means nothing. Managers flip/flop on directions due to director intervention. Team promoted but individually scored. Good-ole-boy mentality. Compensation include what you may use in schooling = not real.

    Advice to Management

    Be consistent.

I have been working at Apollo Education Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Mission makes sense and is important. Employees are committed to the mission more than the leaders are. Students are great and so are faculty members.

    Cons

No confidence in senior leadership. Saying you are being transparent does not actually make it so. Leaders are too busy with self promotion and have forgotten to actually run the business and grow it. The organization empowers mediocrity.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like you really do value them. Saying it without doing it has destroyed your credibility. Senior management needs to listening to middle managers. They are too busy trying to protect their jobs to actually tell you the truth.

    Pros

Many people trying to do a good job with little help from management

    Cons

Company continues the downward slide with no changes to strategy/vision

    Advice to Management

Actually share information about the company with all employees, not just directors and above. Also, seriously reconsider the booted number of people in management, there are way too many people with manager, director, VP titles with few or no people reporting to them.
